Pete Hegseth announced some of the parameters for a treaty. The US would agree that Ukraine will never join NATO, and the idea of Ukraine getting all of its former territory back is unrealistic. I don't think that even the Ukrainian Vassals in the Biden Administration ever claimed they'd fight to restore all of the former Ukrainian territory, so that part isn't exactly new. It's just recognizing reality.

• The Bloodbath Must End

• Returning to Ukraine's pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic goal and pursuing this false goal will only increase suffering

• The US does not believe that Ukraine's membership in NATO is a realistic outcome of the upcoming negotiations

• If there are any peacekeepers in Ukraine, it will not be under the auspices of NATO and not in accordance with Article 5 of the Charter

• US troops will not go to Ukraine, US military presence cannot be part of security guarantees

• It is Europe that should provide Ukraine with more military aid

• The US is facing threats to its own borders and will focus on protecting them
