Joe Lieberman, Al Gore's vice presidential running mate and nearly a Republican vice-presidential candidate thanks to "maverick" adulterer and traitor John McCain, has died at age 82.

"Former United States Senator Joseph I. Lieberman died this afternoon, March 27, 2024, in New York City due to complications from a fall," his family said in a statement. "He was 82 years old. His beloved wife, Hadassah, and members of his family were with him as he passed."

So he died due to lingering injuries from a fall at age 82.

Biden is 81 and frequently falls or stumbles. And he just got brand new stability loungers.

Hm.

I wonder how long ago Lieberman fell. I wonder if his fall prompted them to put the Gum-Soled Boat Anchors on Rickety Joe.

A Church of England archdeacon has called for "smashing the patriarchy" and a campaign for "anti-whiteness."

Good to see they're really taking religion seriously in the CoE and that it's not just an employer of last resort for the talentless mentally-ill children of the upper middle class.

Guess what this archdeacon looks like? It's an AWFL, of course.

Got that mental image set?

Illegal aliens may start taking the place of special needs US citizens in NYC schools.

A massive influx of illegal immigrant children in Manhattan schools may push a school for children with disabilities and special needs out of an academic building and into an "inadequate" site, according to a report from the New York Post.

The school, West Prep Academy, reportedly serves 170 students, which mainly include children with special needs. West Prep is being overrun by the enrollment at PS 145, which shares the same schoolhouse.

PS 145 has enrolled lots of illegal immigrant children, reportedly "flooding" the system. Reportedly, more than 30,000 migrant children have been sent to public schools in New York City in recent years.

"We're at a point where now parents are not feeling heard," one academy parent told The Post. "I see all of these parents expressing these real concerns for why this is not going to work for their kids.

NBC executives are afraid that declaring themselves to be a no-Republicans-allowed zone will cause Republicans to boycott them.

Mollie Hemingway has doubts:

The Russia collusion lie, the Kavanaugh smear, the J6 hysteria, Biden sycophancy, rabid anti-GOP treatment on every issue were all fine but firing the single Republican on an otherwise all-Democrat staff after 48 hours of meltdown is too much? OK.

The GOP is hopelessly three-generations-ago. They are not just traditionalist in terms of morality and politics, but traditionalists in habit: We've always gone on NBC to get ripped by Chuck Todd before, so obviously we must continue honoring this masochistic tradition forever!

But anyway, Semafor says they wonder if Republicans will finally give NBC the finger.

NBC braces for the backlash to the backlash after hiring and firing top Republican
Hannah McKay

NBC News's dramatic hiring and firing of a former RNC chairwoman this week threatens to undo years of repositioning itself as friendly to Republican officials and viewers.

[W]hile the abrupt reversal was cheered by some MSNBC staff, other NBC News journalists said they believe the move will only continue to strengthen complaints by Republicans that the network doesn't want to hear their perspectives.

Now, NBC staffers are bracing for Republican backlash, fielding texts from angry GOP sources.

"Political reporters here didn't take part in the backlash, nor did they get to give input on the hire," one NBC News journalist said. "But they'll be the ones who have to pick up the pieces with sources who are now dismayed with the organization."

Four NBC News staffers expressed concern that instead of fixing the problem, hiring and then firing McDaniel had only alienated liberal viewers while confirming Republican fears. Two Republican aides told Semafor they'd texted their NBC News contacts to express their anger with the decision.

The conflict over McDaniel threatens to reverse some of the gains that top network figures believed that it had made to establish some credibility with members of the Republican Party.

...

NBC did catch one break. McDaniel's lack of popularity among top members of her own party may not make her a true martyr among Republicans. Her former institution, the Republican National Committee declined to comment on her firing, and Trump himself posted a mocking tweet directed both at McDaniel and "weak" NBC. Said one senior Republican aide: "No one really cares about Ronna."

DougP at Twitchy catches some bloviating which no one believes:

Ari Fleischer
@AriFleischer

NBC should never get to host a GOP primary debate or townhall. GOP Senators/Congressmen should not go on Meet the Press. No NBC anchor should participate in a presidential debate.

What NBC is saying is if you're for Trump, you don't belong. Good. Let NBC be for Democrats only.

NBC was a prime conspirator in the plot to frame the president of the United States as a traitor under orders from Putin, and Republicans never thought before to boycott them.

But fire one establishment liberal grifter, and hoo boy, it's on now!

So NBC can't hire a partisan spokeswoman who once bent the truth?
Ted Cruz

Chuck Todd was a Dem staffer.

Tim Russert was a Dem staffer.

George Stephanoupolos was a senior Dem WH staffer.

Jen Psaki was a senior Dem WH staffer.

But, NBC hired a Republican??!!?!

It's the end of the world.

Brain scans prove that dogs understand some words:

It's well-known that dogs can learn words for spoken commands like "sit," "stand" and "heel."

But a new study has found they also can tell their "ball-ball" from their "dolly," "teddy," "chewy" or "squeaky squeak."

Brain scans reveal that dogs generally know that certain words stand for certain objects, researchers reported Friday in the journal Current Biology.

Words "activate a memory of an object when they hear its name," researcher Marianna Boros of Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, said in a news release.

For the study, researchers hooked 18 dogs up to an EEG, to see how deep each canine's understanding of language runs.

The dogs' owners would say words for toys that their dogs knew and then present objects to them -- sometimes the matching toy, sometimes another object.

For example, an owner would say, "Zara, look, the ball," and then show them a ball.

Brain recording results showed that patterns differed when dogs were offered a matching object versus a mismatched one, in ways similar to what is seen in humans. This is solid evidence that they understand the words, researchers said.

Fani Willis says she is the face of feminism.

I would say: The Resting Bitch Face of Feminism, sure.

She says that there's been an outpouring of support from sexually-frigid Affluent White Female Liberals who resent their husbands for providing them with a comfortable, indolent life:

"I told Jeff one day, I didn't think I was the face of the feminist movement, but somehow I became it. And I think that women feel like women are treated differently when they're professionals and they're proud to see someone that is strong and trying to do the right job," she said.

Argentia's Javier Milei announced he's firing 70,000 government workers.

JUST IN - Argentine President Javier Milei plans to fire 70,000 government workers --Bloomberg

Amazing quotes from Milei:

Argentine President Javier Milei plans to fire 70,000 government workers in the coming months in one of the clearest signs yet of how the libertarian's chainsaw-style approach intends to slash the swollen state.

Beyond the job cuts, Milei boasted Tuesday at an event that he's frozen public works, cut off some funding to provincial governments and terminated more than 200,000 social welfare plans, which he labeled as corrupt. It's all part of his strategy to reach a fiscal balance at any cost this year.

"There's a lot of blender," Milei said in an hour long speech at the IEFA Latam Forum in Buenos Aires, referring to the erosion of wages and pensions by 276% annual inflation. "There's a lot more chainsaw."

Whoops! Whoopsie!
