California Democrats spent the final few days before summer recess in an unusual spot: embroiled in a legislative fight with Republicans, who typically operate in the shadow of the state's blue supermajority.

By the time they left Sacramento last week, Democrats had doubled back and advanced Senate Bill 14 in an emergency hearing of the Senate Public Safety committee, likely at the behest of both Gov. Gavin Newsom and Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, D-Hollister.
And Republicans were celebrating a "win for law and order in California" with bill author Sen. Shannon Grove, R-Bakersfield.
How did a party with almost no power in California manage to achieve a political win?
She sees protecting children from violent kidnapping p3dophiles as a "political" win, and only for Republicans.
In part by employing simplistic, fear-based messaging that exploited the divide between progressive and moderate Democrats on criminal justice reform. Social media posts amplifying the bill's failure suggested Democrats are soft on crime, especially related to children.
Are they not? You're literally hysterical over the idea that repulsive p3dophiles coerciing children into lives of daily r@pe might be punished appropriately.
Their arguments in favor of the bill also carried a whiff of the far-right GOP conspiracy theory related to Democrats and pedophilia.

The Louisiana legislature voted to protect children from abusive sex-change "therapy." They had to override the Democrat governor's veto to do so.
A ban on gender-affirming healthcare for transgender children is due to take effect in Louisiana on Jan. 1, after the state legislature overrode Governor John Bel Edwards' veto of the bill, according to state officials.
The legislature, which acted late on Tuesday, becomes the latest Republican-led state to ban trans-focused healthcare.
Louisiana's House Bill 648 - called the "Stop Harming Our Kids Act" - bans hormone treatments and puberty-blocking drugs, gender-affirming surgeries and other related care for anyone under the age of 18.
Twenty other states have passed similar measures, most of them this year.
The House voted 75 to 23 in favor of overriding the Democratic governor's veto, while the Senate voted 28 to 11 to override.

Bud Light drops from No. 1 to No. 4 in bar and restaurant sales.
When it comes to most popular beers sold in bars and restaurants, formerly top-ranked Bud Light is now sitting at No. 4, according to Newsweek, which obtained the information from Union, a company that creates software for logging orders.
Under the Anheuser-Busch umbrella, Bud Light previously had the No. 1 ranking for beers sold in 1,100 "high-volume venues" that use Union. However, from April to June in 2023's second quarter, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra and Coors Light all outsold Bud Light.

Last week, Jordan Schachtel revealed that alleged "military personnel" who are "transitioning" can receive infinite exemptions from physical fitness standards.
Now Schaectel reports that "military personnel" undergoing sex changes on the taxpayers' dime can now also skip those nasty, uncomfortable deployments that might interfere with their gender evolution.

Service members who identify as transgender may receive an indefinite waiver for physical fitness standards. This waiver often becomes a de facto permanent situation, and the transgender identifying service member just has to renew the exemption request every six months.
Service members who identify as transgender will be considered "non-deployable" for up to 300 days while taking hormones for their "transition" period. Again, given that these hormones are often required for life, this may render the transgender identifying service member as permanently unable to deploy.
The United States military is facing its worst recruiting environment since 1973, when the conscription era ended and the current all-volunteer force was formed. As the Defense Department memo makes clear, the U.S. military in 2023 represents more of a social welfare and social justice program than an entity purposed with defeating an aggressing army.
In what way are these people even actual troops? They are exempt from the fitness standards implemented to guarantee that personnel are in actual fighting shape, and they're exempt from actual fighting. They're not troops in any meaningful way. At best, they're office personnel who call out sick a lot claiming Phantom PMS symptoms.
Making an All-Trans Military is hurting unit cohesion, recruitment, and retention in other ways, too.

An 18-year-old military recruit forced to shower with biological males as part of the Biden administration's transgender policies is complaining about being placed in an "extremely uncomfortable position."
The report was first raised at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing Tuesday. The girl is afraid to speak out of fear it will harm her career, Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) told Fox News Digital in an interview. Her options were slim and included resigning from her early-career position.
It was believed raising the matter in a complaint could have harmful impacts on the new recruit's military career.
According to Rounds, the military recruit, 18, is complaining about being forced to sleep in between "two individuals who were supposedly changing from male to female." The girl also has to shower with the individuals and reported significant distress about the matter. The individuals housed with the 18-year-old had initiated chemical interventions to change genders, but without having reassignment surgery, their genitalia were fully intact.
Rounds said heard about the matter from the attorney general of the South Dakota National Guard.
"He had contacted our office very concerned about the information he had received from the recruit," Rounds said. "The respect that this young recruit should have received and the privacy that she should have had, she was being deprived of."
The Pentagon released a statement to Fox News Digital, which said, "DoD policy is that all Service members must be treated with dignity and respect. We would encourage any troop who's feeling uncomfortable or has concerns about privacy in shared spaces to work through their chain of command. Commanders may employ reasonable accommodations to respect the privacy interests of Service members."
In other words: Report to Reeducation Camp or resign. The same "deal" the U of Penn female swimmers were offered when they objected to having "antifa super soldier" Will "Lia" Thomas waggle his dick in their faces.
The military has historically been staffed by traditionalist, mostly-religious people. Now the Burn It All Down left is determined to amputate the very backbone of the military.

And how did CNBC compile this list? Almost all of these states are among those seeing the greatest level of incoming immigration. So by what metrics are they judging "quality of life" on?

It's weird how all of these "women" seem to have the same levels of aggression that men do:
We need a cause of action making it clear that people can sue in these cases for misrepresentation of "benefits" of sex change "therapy" and failure to obtain truly informed consent. If there's no proof that patients have been shown the testimony of people regretting "gender transition" and specific warnings about actual complications, then there's no informed consent, and the doctors and hospitals can be sued.
"Every patient who has a baby is not a woman... how dare you say that nobody who gives birth can be a man." She literally said these two things:
1, "How dare you come on TikTok during Pride Month" to deny that men can have babies, and
2, "Do Better."
She really said that. I'm totally being literal now you guys.
