Good morning, kids. Crime, or to be more precise, crime as a means by which the junta in power seeks to make the citizenry cede more of the freedoms to said junta for the promise of security, is today's subject. First as a bit of a setup, the fiend who was captured yesterday after being on the lam for butchering an entire family because they complained about the noise from him shooting his gun was – surprise! – an illegal alien who had been deported four times previously. And Title 42, the last waffer-theen veneer of border security is set to be eviscerated any day now. But that was just a one-off incident and I'm exaggerating the danger, right?

Also just breaking, a former Coast Guardsman who went on a shooting spree in Atlanta has been apprehended. The propagandists and their Leftist overlords will be sorely disappointed to learn that the individual in question was, shall we say, heavily melanin-adjacent so I expect this story to be buried deeper than Joe Biden's fingers in a pre-teen's panties. The gun angle and "extreme MAGA white supremacy" notwithstanding.

With those, I present a story that hits very close to home (or in this case my former home). Barely two blocks. The Broadway-Lafayette subway station, on a weekday afternoon.

A 30-year-old man was choked to death on a Manhattan train Monday after he threatened straphangers, police said.
Another subway rider stepped in and put the man in a headlock when he began acting erratically and making threats on the northbound F train just before 2:30 p.m., according to police.
The man lost consciousness.
EMS at the Broadway–Lafayette Street/Bleecker Street station were unable to revive him, cops said.
A 24-year-old man was taken into custody, police said.
It was not immediately clear if he would face charges.
The man who died had numerous prior arrests for offenses including assault, disorderly conduct, and fare beating, law enforcement sources said.
That story is from Tuesday when the situation was still somewhat fluid. But let's fill in some of the blanks shall we? The deceased – I refuse to refer to him as a victim – was black and the man who restrained him was white and a Marine. Add that to the fact that the Mayor of New York City is Eric Adams and the District Attorney is Alving Bragg.

The city medical examiner has ruled the death of a homeless man choked by a Marine on the subway earlier this week a homicide — as prosecutors mulled whether to pursue charges.
Jordan Neely’s cause of death was “compression of neck (chokehold)” and the manner constituted a homicide, the medical examiner determined Wednesday afternoon.
Neely, 30, was reportedly homeless and having a mental episode onboard an F train in lower Manhattan Monday afternoon when another straphanger jumped in to restrain him, according to police and witness accounts.
The wannabe vigilante, identified as a 24-year-old Marine from Queens, took down Neely from behind and placed him in a chokehold for about 15 minutes, police said.
"Wannabe vigilante." I am this close to embargoing the New York Post again for this kind of yellow hack "journalism." Continuing . . .
At the time of his death, he had a warrant out for his arrest in a November 2021 case where he was accused of assaulting a 67-year-old woman in the East Village, the sources said.
The Marine was taken into custody immediately following the deadly encounter but was released without charges. . .
. . . Native New Yorker and Brooklyn resident Lizzie No called the lack of charges “an outrage.”
“New Yorkers don’t deserve to be killed just for being poor,” No, 32, told The Post at the vigil-turned-protest.
If that isn't the one of the oldest, most worn out obvious Marxist talking points from out of the filthy sewer of "Doctor" No Lizzie, I don't know what is. She's an obvious rent-a-tovarich from Central-Committee Casting. Continuing. . .
Neely’s fans included Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine. “I saw Jordan Neely perform his Michael Jackson routine many times on the A train,” Levine said on Twitter Wednesday. “He always made people smile. “Our broken mental health system failed him,” Levine wrote. “He deserved help, not to die in a chokehold on the floor of the subway.”
The mental health system is "broken," Mark Levine, because you and your fellow travelers drove people insane with the sexual revolution, free love, feminism, the drug culture and the destruction of the family. You choked this poor psycho to death. You and yours have his blood and the blood of tens of thousands of others like him in your hands.
And now, with the intentional decriminalizing of crime as well as the unleashing of the mentally ill onto our streets, you and yours have the fucking unmitigated temerity to on the one hand double down on the defunding of police forces while at the same time blaming the mayhem on we the people, the victims?
They're trying to turn this into another George Floyd situation. I can smell it a mile away, like the sense memory of the smell of burned popcorn and urine from Union Square, one stop up the line.
Were this any time prior to the coming of the Bill DeBolshevik era, I'd question what this Marine did. In fact, something like this outburst back then was rare to the point of never happening. Today? it's a dime a dozen in every part of the city. For those unaware, Broadway-Lafayette is at the confluence of SoHo, Greenwich Village and Nolita, some of the most expensive, toniest and tourist-packed neighborhoods in town.
Let's set the Wayback Machine to just over one year ago, this time in Brooklyn.
https://nypost.com/2022/04/12/nypd-investigating-possible-explosion-in-brooklyn-subway-station/
A madman disguised as a construction worker turned a Brooklyn subway car into a bloodbath during the early-morning rush Tuesday, setting off smoke bombs before opening fire and wounding 29, officials said.
The shooter — who has yet to be apprehended — was wearing a neon orange and green construction vest and a neon green helmet and muttering to himself on a Manhattan-bound N train when he unleashed bloody havoc just before 8:30 a.m.
The gunman suddenly put on a gas mask and released two smoke grenades as the car pulled into the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, cops said. “Oops, my bad,” the suspect mumbled, according to witness Fitim Gjeloshi, after opening the canister and then pulling out an ax and dropping it to the floor.
As the crowded subway car filled with smoke, the shooter took out a 9mm semiautomatic Glock and fired 33 rounds at commuters, hitting 10 victims and leaving at least 19 others wounded. Those hurt included two teens ages 15 and 19, a pregnant woman who was shot in the leg, seven men and three women, law-enforcement sources said.
Miraculously, no one was killed. But let's imagine if someone saw this fiend and put him in a strangle hold just before pulling the trigger. Add this to the rapes, robberies, murders and shoving onto the tracks that New Yorkers and collectively all of us have had to endure in one form or another in our cities – and please do NOT judge everyone who still has to endure life in them who do not vote Democrat and cannot escape – and you can understand why the Marine did what he did.
It's regrettable but completely understandable. Meh, to Hell with that. The Marine who did this is a hero. He acted accordingly in light of the situation as it stands today in New York and everywhere else in big city America.
And believe me, this shit will be headed to rural Red State America in the not too distant future. There is no doubt that this guy is going to be prosecuted, and considering the venue and the attitude of the jury pool and judges, will likely not avoid prison. Unlike all the other murderers, rapists and robbers set loose on the streets because of scum like Alvin Bragg and his ilk.
There but for the grace of God, that could've been me in that subway car at Broadway-Lafayette. If I'm honest with myself, I'd've probably done nothing and watched in horror as that psycho started assaulting someone.
Semper fi, Marine.
