The Climate Predictions of the Past, that We’ll Mock in the Future, are Happening Now
We “climate deniers” have been having a good laugh this week at the expense of Saint Greta The Climate Puppet, as one of her apocalyptic deadlines hit its expiration date two days ago.
The climate cult is littered with these prophecies of doom, including from the Apostle Al Gore, who has been warning us repeatedly of urgent deadlines, after which his angry climate God was to smite us for our carbon sinning. Here is just one of Al Gore’s prophetic whiffs.
From a CBS report in 2006, “Politicians and corporations have been ignoring the issue for decades, to the point that unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return, Gore said.” That “point of no return” was 7 years ago, yet prophets of The Sustainable Organic Church of the Carbon Apocalypse keep re-setting the drop-dead date to another dooms-date in the future.
It was 23 years ago that entire nations were supposed to have been “wiped off the face of the Earth,” yet somehow the climate clowns at the UN are not laughed at when they continue to make similar predictions with revised deadlines.
I could do this all day, so just one more missed prediction, this one from The Weather Channel, warning us in 2017 that there were only three years left “to save the planet from climate disaster.”
That deadline passed three years ago.
The comical doomsday predictions just keep coming. From just three months ago, here is the Washington Post amplifying the UN’s latest warning that the “world is on brink of catastrophic warming.”
I always knew these predictions were bogus, because I’ve always known that any “crisis” for which the solution is communist control of human activities is a hoax.
But somehow there are still true believers. Despite all the previous “point of no return” deadlines having long since come and gone, the diehards are still ready to believe that the next point of no return is the real one.
Is There Anything Climate Change Can’t Do?
Speaking of the climate hoax, is there anything climate change can’t do?
Climate Change makes birds smaller. And it also makes them bigger. And Climate Change also makes seaweed growth more problematic…until the seaweed problem improves.
Green Energy is Ethical Energy
Is it at all racist that environmentally enlightened westerners are OK with slave labor being used to produce “green” energy products, so long as the slaves are minorities living in Asia?
Firm Planning UK’s Largest Solar Farm Accused of Forced Labour
The company behind plans to build Britain’s largest solar farm is facing questions about alleged links to forced labour in China amid claims that it offered inducements to a local MP to back the scheme.
Boom Goes the e-Bike
Despite all my railing against electric cars, I’ve always been intrigued by e-bikes. I kind of like the idea of an "energy transition" from self-powered bicycles to electric-powered ones.
I was interested. I'm not so interested any more. Just like EVs, electric bikes seem to have a dangerous habit of spontaneously bursting into flames. Over the past few years, I’ve seen many stories about them catching on fire, and New Yorkers have been trying to understand the problem.
Where and Why E-Bikes Catch Fire in NYC — And What Can Be Done About It [The City – 11/21/2022]
In 2020, the Fire Department determined that 44 fires were caused by faulty e-bike batteries; in 2021 there were 104. So far this year there have been 191.
Those were bad. But this past week, there was an e-bike fire that was horrific.
4 Dead, 2 Critically Injured in NYC e-Bike Store Fire
Four people were killed and two others left clinging to life when an explosive fire ripped through a Lower Manhattan e-bike store early Tuesday — and officials quickly determined the blaze was caused by a lithium-ion battery used to charge the bikes.
Lithium-ion.
I do not want any transportation device I ride in, or on, to have a lithium-ion battery, and I will never allow a vehicle with a lithium-ion battery in my garage.
