NextImg:Terry Moran: I'm So Totally STOKED!!! to Finally Have My Own Unpaid Podcast

All of these leftwing propagandists fired by leftwing media companies for being too stridently partisan all claim the same thing: We're all so excited to no longer have our seven-digit salaries at corporate "news" companies, we're so psyched to now have unpaid gigs on Substack.

Weird. If they loved podcasting this much, they could have entered the field at any time before their much-deserved firings.

Seems suspicious.

Jake Tapper's buddy Terry Moran is just loving being funemployed.

Terry Moran has revealed he is launching a Substack channel just days after he was axed from his anchor job at ABC over anti-Trump social media comments.

The 28-year ABC veteran, who was pictured barefoot, pacing and biting his nails outside his home earlier today, took to X - the same platform which ultimately became his downfall - to unveil the new career move.

'For almost 28 years I was a reporter and anchor for ABC News. As you may have heard, I'm not there anymore,' he said, referencing the high-profile axing.

Moran was let go following a 'clear violation' of the network's social media and impartiality policy.

...

Those comments, though swiftly deleted, ultimately went viral and ABC executives felt they had no choice but to act quickly and respond harshly. If they didn't, the network's impartiality would have come into question, particularly given Trump's outspoken criticism of media bias.

Now, Moran is forging a new path away from traditional media. 'I'm here, with you, on Substack, this amazing space and I can't wait to get at it,' he said.

'To get at the important work we all have to do in this time of such trouble for our country.

'I'm going to be reporting and interviewing and just sharing with you and hoping to hear from you as well.'

Moran said it will take 'a few days, maybe longer' to get his profile up and running.

So, so psyched to have 90,000 subscribers on Substack. What a career move.

Terry Moran is so completely stoked to now be on Substack that he's complaining about being fired.

Weird. You'd think he'd be grateful to be fired, as it finally gave him the chance to get into the podcast game he's so enamored of.

ABC top bosses fired Moran within two days of him sending and deleting the post, citing a 'clear violation' of the network's policies.

Speaking to the New York Times on Monday, Moran insisted it was 'not a drunk tweet', and lashed out at the suggestion he was on the outs anyway.

He said his former employer's framing of his contract situation was 'incorrect', and accused ABC of 'bailing' on a 'pre-existing oral agreement' that would have seen his contract renewed for three more years.

'We had a deal,' he fumed.

The statement from ABC which infuriated Moran read: 'We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran, and based on his recent post -- which was a clear violation of ABC News policies -- we have made the decision to not renew.'

...

An insider at ABC previously told Fox News that Moran was quickly ousted from the network because he gave bosses 'no other choice' after sharing his anti-Trump beliefs.

'We f***ing took it seriously and dealt with it pretty g*d***mn quickly,' they said, adding that the network wanted to avoid a drawn-out investigation as they decided to ax him within days of the post.

In the days after losing his job, Moran announced a new career move as he launched his own Substack channel.

Moran said he is forging a new path away from traditional media. 'I'm here, with you, on Substack, this amazing space and I can't wait to get at it,' he said.

Wait until he hears about blogging!
