NextImg:Study: Liberals/Democrats More Likely to Avoid Their Family Members During Holidays

So many studies telling us things that are perfectly obvy!

Survey: Democrats more likely to cut off family time during the holidays

Quick Hit:

A recent survey revealed that Democrat voters are nearly five times as likely as Republicans to reduce time with family over political differences, highlighting tensions during the holiday season.

Key Details:

23% of Democrat voters compared to 5% of Republican voters reported spending less holiday time with certain family members due to political views.

Conducted online with 5,772 adults nationwide between November 8 and December 2, 2024; margin of error 1.72%.

Other surveys show Americans generally prefer to avoid political discussions during gatherings, regardless of party affiliation.

Diving Deeper:

As families prepare for holiday gatherings, a new survey by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) highlights a sharp divide between Democrat and Republican voters in their willingness to share the season with family members who hold opposing political views. According to PRRI's findings, 23% of Democrats said they would spend less time with family over such differences, compared to just 5% of Republicans.

PRRI President Robert P. Jones noted the growing impact of identity and worldview on personal relationships, telling Axios, "It may be tense around the Hanukkah and Christmas table. ... It's not just that we're disagreeing about abortion or taxes, but we're disagreeing about a fundamental worldview."

Jones also mentioned that some families are preemptively agreeing to avoid political discussions during their gatherings to maintain peace.

The survey, conducted online with 5,772 adults from all 50 states, found that political alignment heavily influences holiday dynamics. Previous polling reinforces this trend, with a CBS News/YouGov survey showing that while more Trump voters (38%) than Harris voters (28%) are open to discussing politics at Thanksgiving, the majority of Americans prefer to skip the subject entirely.

TBH I'm not super-psyched at "being open to discussing politics at Thanksgiving," when you know others present disagree with you. It probably should be skipped as a topic in the interest of familial unity.

I have a feeling that leftists would usually say that they are more "open" to sharing their insane evil politics with their family members on the holidays, except for this one year, because they're feeling humiliated and broken.

Next year, 60% of leftwingers will find their zeal again and inflict their politics on other family members.

Below, a video from the sidebar of leftwing cope. First up, a "trans" woman (a girl pretending to be a boy) who is trans and proud to have had two abortions and is even prouder that she blocked her father on social media.

But we needed a study to show that these cultists practiced disconnecting from your family, right?

Here's another cope round-up. First up, a POC of genius-level IQ who demands to know why we haven't told Elon Musk to "go back to Africa."

They're really obsessing over Elon Musk. That's another benefit of having Musk on Trump's side -- he draws fire that otherwise would go to Trump.

And I mean that literally. These lunatics will try to kill Trump and Musk and Vance as well.

The third clip he reviews is from a trans lunatic, who announces the way to protest your parents "misgendering" (correctly gendering) you is.... well, insane and anti-social and deranged and evil. As you would expect.
