NextImg:Ray Epps Charged with a Single Misdemeanor for Ringleading January 6th Breach, For Which He Has Worked Out a Plea Deal;Media Pretends This Disproves "Conspiracy Theories" That He's a Fed, Rather Than Confirming Them

Breaking News: Ray Epps has been charged by the DOJ with one misdemeanor count of disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. Epps is expected to plead guilty and a plea agreement hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

The AP:

Ray Epps, ex-Marine targeted by a Jan. 6 conspiracy theory, is charged with a misdemeanor in riot

Ray Epps, a former Marine who became the target of a Jan. 6, 2021, conspiracy theory, has been charged with a misdemeanor offense in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot and is expected to plead guilty, according to court papers filed Tuesday.

Epps, who claimed in a lawsuit filed this year that Fox News Channel made him a scapegoat for the Capitol riot, is charged with disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds, court records show.

Epps attorney, Edward J. Ungvarsky, said in an email that the case was filed with an anticipation that Epps would plead guilty to the charge. The judge has scheduled a plea agreement hearing for Wednesday.

Fake News NBC:

Ray Epps, subject of Tucker Carlson's Jan. 6 conspiracy theories, charged by DOJ

Epps, a former supporter of Donald Trump, is set to enter a plea agreement. He told the Jan. 6 committee that the conspiracy theories about him ruined his life.

And of course this plea deal will not just cover the single misdemeanor count he's being "charged" with. This plea will also extinguish any other charges the government may bring in the future for any of the actions he took on or before January 6th. Or after, as well.

It's another Hunter Biden sweetheart gift.

Julie Kelly cannot think of a single other J6 target charged with a single misdemeanor charge.

Where is the conspiracy to obstruct Congress? You don't have to actually do anything to commit the crime of conspiracy, as the DOJ and its ringer judges have told every single J6 defendant as they've sentenced them to years in prison.

But that doesn't apply to Ray Epps, who is literally seen on video committing the crime of conspiracy to obstruct Congress, telling the crowd "we're gonna go into Congress." And also whispering to a man just before that man takes apart the security barrier in front of the Capitol.

The headline from The Federalist is far more accurate: On The Darkest Day In American History, Ray Epps Was Just a Little Rascal!

More than two and a half years after the gravest threat to democracy of our lifetime -- and maybe of all time -- Jan. 6 agitator Ray Epps has finally been charged. See? Justice is being served.

According to court documents, Epps was charged with a sole misdemeanor count of "Disorderly or Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds" via an "information," as opposed to an indictment, which NBC news says suggests "he plans to enter a plea deal."

In other words, we'll finally be able to rest -- safe and sound and smug -- knowing all the Tucker Carlson-fueled conspiracies about Epps being an FBI source or informant have been put to bed. Case closed. He was a wee bit disorderly. Let it go.

So why are rabid right-wingers foaming at the mouth and unable to accept the DOJ charges and media write-ups at face value? These are trusted institutions with an unblemished track record of ethics, honesty, and equal justice under the law. Turn off the Fox News and Truth Social already, and get your facts straight.

For instance, why are ultra-MAGA Republicans still asking about the multiple clips of Epps on both Jan. 5 and 6, 2021, rallying protesters to make their way from Trump's speech not only up toward Capitol Hill but "into the Capitol"? Those conspiracists just can't get over the fact that the demonstrators within earshot booed his suggestion and pegged him as a "Fed! Fed! Fed!" But what would they know? They're insurrectionists.

Well now that we're going to sentence this Little Rascal to ten hours of community service, we can set aside any "conspiracy theories" that the DOJ has been protecting Ray Epps!
