Big Mike is being pressured to run in 2024 to "break the transgender ceiling."
No but really: to force Sundown out of the running.
Thomas Lifson:
It's obvious to anyone in the Democrat camp not totally delusional that Joe Biden's declining mental faculties make him almost impossible to re-elect in 2024. Douglas Schoen and Andrew Stein are two Democrats that have a good grasp of reality, and so they are putting out a signal in the Wall Street Journal -- which is read by virtually every media editor in the country -- that it is time to push Michelle Obama into running. That is, if she has not already been convinced by her husband.
If this is true, you might start to see Joe Biden get his lowest job approval ratings ever from leftwing media polls, as they remove the Secret Sauce to give him the worst possible actually correct poll numbers. To nudge Grampa Friskyfingers out the door.
Convicted billion-dollar fraudster Elizabeth Holmes wants to change her image, and get this, the New York Times -- the favorite newspaper of the criminal elite -- is only too willing to help her rebranding effort.
She's a "devoted mother," the NYT tells us.
People are criticizing the New York Times after it published a glowing profile of Elizabeth Holmes, which painted the Theranos founder, who was found guilty of defrauding investors out of more than $100 million, as a "devoted mother" who volunteered for a rape crisis hotline.
The profile, written by former writer at large Amy Chozick, opens with a flowery description of Holmes as "blend[ing] in with the other moms" at the San Diego Zoo as she cares for a newborn strapped to her chest and "swathed in a Baby Yoda nursing blanket," as Chozick noted that Holmes has ditched her black turtlenecks for a new maternal persona.
Amy Chozick was the "journalist" assigned to follow the Hillary Clinton campaign. That's where she first honed her skills at helping loathsome women devoid of any humanity repackage themselves for the public.
By the way: People suspect that Holmes quickly got herself pregnant just so she could present herself as a "devoted mother" at her sentencing hearing.
Update to the Jonah Goldberg story:
He now says he was...
...wait for it...
"SOMEWHAT WRONG about James Comey."
Jonah Goldberg

Replying to @WestMichP2
I was somewhat wrong about Comey but I still think Trump is a far more proven and obvious liar. You seem to think that because Comey has proven himself to be a hack, that somehow therefore Trump isn't a corrupt lowlife.
You know who else was somewhat wrong?
The gluttonous dullard Jonah Goldberg is, like all has-beens and Never-Was Twitter "Celebrities," forever leaving Twitter, and yet ever-present:
The New York Times reported, in 2017, that Trump and his aides had "repeated contacts" with "Russian officials."
The Durham Report says that is 100% disinformation.
The blockbuster report released by Special Counsel John Durham Monday found The New York Times published fake news peddled by federal intelligence officials in 2017.
In February 2017, the Times reported the Trump campaign had routine contact with Russian officials.
"Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence," read the headline.
"Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials," the Times reported. "American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said."
The entire story, however, was fabricated, according to the bombshell report published by Durham.
"As early as 2017, the FBI still did not possess any intelligence showing that anyone associated with the Trump campaign was in contact with Russian intelligence officers during the campaign," Durham noted.
Indeed, based on declassified documents from early 2017, the FBI's own records show that reports published by The New York Times in February and March 2017 concerning what four unnamed current and former U.S. intelligence officials claimed about the Trump campaign personnel being in touch with any Russian intelligence officers was untrue.
Jonah Goldberg concludes, in The Dispatch, that the Times was "somewhat wrong" in making this claim.
I'm just kidding -- The Dispatch isn't covering the Durham Report at all!
Oh wait, it did merit one brief bullet-point in their morning update:
* Special Counsel John Durham--appointed during former President Donald Trump's administration--issued a 306-page report criticizing the FBI's investigation into allegations linking the Trump campaign and Russia ahead of the 2016 election. Durham found the collusion probe was opened based on "raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence" and that investigators placed too much stock in supposed evidence provided by Trump's political rivals. The report also alleges the FBI was far more hesitant to investigate claims Hillary Clinton's campaign had similar foreign ties. GOP Rep. Jim Jordan--chair of the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government--said yesterday he'd invited Durham to testify next week.
So you can tell that Jonah totally didn't push the Russiagate hoax based on how extensive The Dispatch's coverage of its debunking is.
Reminder: Jonah Goldberg supported the Deep State coup.
He just wasn't as honest as Bill Kristol in admitting that:
Bill Kristol
@BillKristol
Obviously strongly prefer normal democratic and constitutional politics. But if it comes to it, prefer the deep state to the Trump state.
I think this TikTok video (TikTok warning: this TikTok video is on TikTok) of a liberal claiming the Statue of Liberty gives illegals the right to come to America, but who balks at having three Hondurans come live in his house, is clearly staged, but there's no doubt this is what would happen if they did it in real life.
