China is attempting to starve Britain of coke, a crucial ingredient in making steel.
The British Navy had to guard a shipment of coke to keep it from being "sabotaged."
Gee, I wonder who might sabotage it.
Royal Navy ready to escort crucial fuel shipments to Scunthorpe steelworks amid 'sabotage' threats
The move would ensure a 'cargo of coking coal' reaches the UK without being intercepted or redirected
Ministers are considering deploying the Royal Navy to escort a vital fuel shipment to Scunthorpe's steelworks following yesterday's landmark takeover.
The move would ensure what's said to be a cargo of coking coal reaches the UK without being intercepted or redirected - as without fresh supplies, the furnaces would burn out and be nearly impossible to restart.
The Ministry of Defence said no decision had yet been taken on the Navy's involvement - nor have Ministers filed a formal request.
But it comes as a separate shipment of coking coal is currently sitting at Immingham port on the Humber Estuary, with no sign of unloading.
The Times reports that British Steel owners Jingye attempted to sell the shipment to an unnamed Chinese firm, which would have starved the Scunthorpe works of crucial fuel.
The Government was then forced to intervene, with police securing the shipment.
That came as MPs and peers were recalled to Parliament for a rare Saturday sitting - the first since the Queen's death in 2022 - and pushed the Steel Industry (Special Measures) Bill through both Houses in a matter of hours.
The emergency legislation empowers Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds to direct British Steel's board and staff, and allows him to enter company premises "using force if necessary".
The Government was forced to act after negotiations with Jingye broke down - with Reynolds telling Parliament that the firm had demanded "hundreds of millions of pounds" beyond the Government's offer.
The company also refused to accept conditions preventing fund transfers to China or ensuring blast furnaces were maintained.
Reynolds said it became clear Jingye intended to cancel orders for raw materials and would have "irrevocably and unilaterally closed down" Scunthorpe without intervention.
A delegation of "six to eight" Jingye executives gained access despite having their security passes revoked before barricading themselves in a room.
Let's sell all of our industrial capacity to China!
Katie Perry, Jeff Bezos' slam-piece and various other women were sent to the lowest level of orbit one could call "sorta space" for fifteen minutesby a man.
Katy Perry thinks she's a Real Astronaut now.
The General
@GeneralMCNews
BREAKING: Katy Perry said she felt deeply connected to the "strong divine feminine" after her spaceflight alongside an all-female crew.
Apparently the Real Astronauts vetoed pockets on their costumes, because pockets would make their hips look big. I remember Neil Armstrong having the same complaint, but he wasn't a Strong Empowered Woman so he just accepted the unflattering pockets.

@ChoooCole
The "historic" all female rocket barely even touches what is technically considered "space"
On the right is Elons Falcon 9 orbital rocket, the booster alone goes twice as high as the Katy Perry rocket.
I'm all for womens achievements but this is not one of them...
Had enough yet?
WOKE. IN. SPACE! CBS Host Apologizes for Saying 'Mankind': 'I'm Sorry. I'm Sorry'
In space, no one can hear you scream; but the aliens can apparently pick up your virtue signals on their scanners. CBS Mornings co-host Vlad Duthiers was sending out distress calls during Monday's show after he was scolded by Dr. Mae Jemison (the first black woman in space) because he used the highly offensive term "mankind" to refer to the entire human species.
As they were sitting the West Texas desert, awaiting the launch of the Blue Origin rocket that would take their friend and co-host Gayle King to "space," Duthiers received his first scolding by Jemison when he tried to tee her up to rebuke those who were supposedly downplaying the launch because the passengers were all women:
DUTHIERS: You heard Amanda Nguyen tell me in the interview that she's conducting science experiments on this voyage, which I don't think a lot of people knew. They thought it was just six women going up into space for a joyride.JEMISON: Wait, what do you mean just six women?
DUTHIERS: Well, that's what I mean! That was the criticism!
JEMISON: It is six women.
DUTHIERS: That's right!
BURLESON: Right. Right. Right.
"But he's speaking to the perspective and some of the narrative that's are out there," co-host Nate Burleson added, trying to defend Duthiers, who added: "The narratives that are out there, that I was hoping to correct with this interview. And I'm glad you're here to help me correct that narrative."
Surprise! Boston Mayor and Sanctuary Resistance Heroin Michelle Wu is being bankrolled by a man listed as an agent of a Chinese intelligence agency.
Boston Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu's 2021 campaign received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a fundraiser who is listed by a Chinese intelligence agency as an official, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation discovered.
Gary Yu, the founder of Boston International Media Consulting, helped raise over $300,000 for Wu with the help of a Chinese civic association he leads. However, Yu -- whose Chinese name is Yu Guoliang -- is listed as an official by an agency of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence and intelligence service called the United Front Work Department (UFWD), and also operates as a recruiter for the Chinese government, according to reports from the CCP, Chinese state media and civic associations led by Yu.
"The Communist Party's UFWD never rests," author and China expert Gordon Chang told the DCNF. "There is no ethnic Chinese official in America who is not targeted. It's time for law enforcement to investigate the CCP's ties to Gary Yu and Yu's ties to Mayor Michelle Wu."
Wu has risen to national prominence as a central figure in the Democratic resistance to Trump's border and deportation policies. Wu recently defended her city's refusal to cooperate with immigration officials during her March 19, 2025 "State of the City" address, during which she criticized "presidents who think they are kings," prompting the White House to fire back the next day with a press release labeling Wu a "radical mayor" who "puts violent criminal illegal aliens first."
"Wu's ultra-leftism makes her the perfect candidate for CCP recruitment and capture," Chang said. "Or do we have it backward? Is her ultra-leftism the result of CCP recruitment and capture? More than just the people of Boston would like to know."

I've been thinking on the below post, about the NGO problem.
The Left is structured as a network of NGOs: ruthlessly efficient and ready to act the moment power changes hands.
The Right has no equivalent infrastructure. If I sit down and ask myself, "How would I start an NGO to implement a conservative agenda in D.C.?" ... I draw a blank. Because the dominant instinct on the Right isn't to build, it's to dismantle. Most conservative goals center on shrinking or limiting the federal government.
That creates a fundamental asymmetry. NGOs on the Left are designed to expand state power through policy scaffolding, and once federal funding flows in, it's nearly impossible to tear down. It would take an act of Congress to defund these mechanisms, and Congress rarely votes to shrink its own power.
So, we can't fight fire with fire.
As I see it, there are only three paths forward (not mutually exclusive):
- Keep scaling the existing DOGE efforts.
- Replace the majority of Congress with people willing to shut the spigot.
- Trigger a Convention of States and rewrite the rules from outside the system.
Each path demands broad public support, which, again, NGOs don't need. That's part of what makes them so dangerous. They just have to win the influence of a few.
After Trump accused CNN and Magnum P.U. Star Kaitlin Collins of "hating the United States," America-hater Dana Bash interrupted the live feed to swear that noooo, no one at CNN hates the United States. They just want the US to suffer for its sins, forever. And then we'll be redeemed one day, except no we won't, because there is no redemption ever for a nation as tainted by Original Sin as the US.
But besides that -- they love the US. It's an Ike Turner kind of love, baby.
MSNBC propagandists befuddled that the UAW union president would go against the leftwing political narrative that tariffs are bad.
While the leadership of the UAW backed then-Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election -- Fain even labeled Trump a "scab" during the Democratic National Convention -- many rank-and-file members of the union backed Trump.
"Since NAFTA's inception in 1993, we've lost 90,000 manufacturing facilities in this country. Millions of jobs, and these weren't, you know, low end jobs. These were jobs that paid decent wages, had good benefits, retirement security-" Fain said before Sanders-Townsend interrupted him.
"But here's my thing... NAFTA was 30 years ago. The situation that we are dealing with right now, and I agree with you, I'm on the side of the folks that said they... did the American workers wrong, absolutely," Sanders-Townsend said. "But right now we are dealing with a situation where it's not -- these are blanket tariffs. We are dealing with situation where manufacturing is not going to come back in two weeks. So what? How, I'm just, I'm really struggling to figure to understand how UAW has aligned itself with Trump on this."
She's engaging in the usual leftist dishonest attack line of claiming, "I totally support this thing, but I also totally oppose it because the Bad Orange Man is not doing the thing I totally support in 'the right way.'"
The "right way" does not actually exist. They just always find fault with whatever Trump (or any conservative) is doing, and claim that of course they support this popular policy, they just disagree with how it's being done.
Of course they support securing the border. They just don't support any of the steps being taken to secure it.
Of course they're anti-domestic-terrorism. They just don't like the way Trump is going after domestic terrorists.
x1000. On every single issue.
Trump campaigned on imposing tariffs to help boost manufacturing in the United States. After co-host Michael Steele questioned whether the tariffs could create jobs, Fain responded.
"NAFTA is still causing us to lose jobs in this country. Our broken trade system is still causing us to lose jobs in this country and no one from either party has been willing to even address the issue for 30 plus years. That's the first thing," Fain said. "And we support tariffs as a tool, a tool in the toolbox, not the end all be all. We got to fix the broken trade system. But tariffs are a motivator to make these companies do the right thing.

Bernie delivered his latest warning that "oligarchy is rapidly approaching" at Coachella, the most expensive, elitist concert in the world. Tickets start at $600 and a weekend of food, lodging and merch could cost $1000 or even $5000. It's so expensive that tickets are sold on the layaway plan.
So, the perfect rich, glitzy venue to warn about oligarchy.
Insurrection Barbie
@DefiyantlyFree
Since its inception George Soros's Open Society Foundation has given Democrat NGOs and candidates 32 BILLION DOLLARS. Talk about oligarchy.
AOC flew out to the Coachella festival first-class. Of course.
They covered it up:
Hoo doggie, what a day. I got hit with three problems over the weekend. First, this antihistimine I'm on keeps me awake at night. Second, I made tacos and my stomach can no longer handle spicy food. (Of course, having made a lot of taco meat, I couldn't waste it, so I kept eating it despite getting serious intestinal distress.)
Finally, the muscle that connects my abdomen to my leg -- and lifts it -- got torn or something and I've been almost immobile for two days.
Yes, I barely worked today, but just doing that took all I've got.
I am rekt.
