Dr. Ben Braddock
@GraduatedBen
Within 48 hours of the earthquake that struck Haiti in 2011, the 82nd Airborne had arrived from Fort Bragg, NC to Port-au-Prince to render aid.
It's been 135 hours and the DOD still haven't given dual status command for NC (they have for FL), still haven't sent the aerial assets and high-water vehicles from Fort Bragg that FEMA requested, the 81st is off on a training exercise, and the men from various units trying to get home to help their families in the disaster zone are being denied leave. It is a complete shame and disgrace. Heads should roll.
We had to burn the Constitution to save it:
The Freedom Party secured the first far-right national parliamentary election victory in post-World War II Austria on Sunday, finishing ahead of the governing conservatives after tapping into anxieties about immigration, inflation, Ukraine and other issues. But its chances of governing were unclear.
Preliminary official results showed the Freedom Party finishing first with 29.2% of the vote and Chancellor Karl Nehammer's Austrian People's Party was second with 26.5%. The center-left Social Democrats were in third place with 21%. The outgoing government -- a coalition of Nehammer's party and the environmentalist Greens -- lost its majority in the lower house of parliament.
Herbert Kickl, a former interior minister and longtime campaign strategist who has led the Freedom Party since 2021, wants to be chancellor.
And what makes them "far-right"? What is their issue profile? Do they demand an end to civil rights? Pogroms against the Jews? Aggressive militarization?
No. They are motivated by government-caused inflation, the War in Urkaine, the lockdowns, and "worries about migration."
The far right has benefited from frustration over high inflation, the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic. It has also built on worries about migration.
So that's what makes someone "far-right," huh? I'll be sure to suggest this for political advertisements.
The "Far Right" party supports a policy of "remigration" -- a nice way to say "send them back."
Tater, CNN's shameless spinner, is putting a nice spin on CNN's demand for $3.99 a month to read its "news," saying that this is a small price to play to "foot the bill for CNN's journalism."
CNN, one of the most popular news websites in the world, is starting to ask some of its visitors to pay $3.99 a month for access.
On Tuesday, the news organization is laying the first bricks in a so-called paywall that should, over time, help foot the bill for CNN's journalism around the world.
"Starting today, we are asking users in the United States to pay a small recurring fee for unlimited access to CNN.com's world-class articles," Alex MacCallum, CNN's executive vice president of digital products and services, wrote in an internal memo outlining the plan.
The average visitor to CNN's website, who may only read a few articles a month, will not be prompted to pay at this time. "Only after users consume a certain number of free articles will they be prompted to subscribe," MacCallum explained. "In addition to unlimited access to CNN.com's articles, subscribers will receive benefits like exclusive election features, original documentaries, a curated daily selection of our most distinctive journalism, and fewer digital ads."
How about, First You Will Blow Me?
Trump put out a statement on the chaos created by the San Francisco Town Pump and the decrepit vegetable Joe Biden:
"The World is on fire and spiraling out of control. We have no leadership, no one running the Country. We have a non-existent President in Joe Biden, and a completely absent Vice President, Kamala Harris, who is too busy fundraising in San Francisco, a City which she and Gavin Newscum totally destroyed, and staging fake photo ops. No one is in charge and it's not even clear who is more confused: Biden or Kamala. Neither has any idea what is even going on.
When I was President, Iran was in total check. They were starved for cash, fully contained, and desperate to make a deal. Kamala flooded them with American cash and, ever since, they've been exporting terror all over, and unraveling the Middle East.
Under 'President Trump,' we had NO WAR in the Middle East, NO WAR in Europe, and Harmony in Asia, No Inflation, No Afghanistan Catastrophe. Instead, we had PEACE. Now, War or the threat of War, is raging everywhere, and the two Incompetents running this Country are leading us to the brink of World War III. You wouldn't trust Joe or Kamala to run a lemonade stand, let alone lead the Free World.
It is no surprise that Iran desperately wants Kamala Harris to be President, because they know as long as she is in power, they can take advantage of America. That is why they have tried to target me.
If I was in charge, October 7th never happens, Russia/Ukraine never happens, Afghanistan Botched Withdrawal never happens, and Inflation never happens. If I win, we will have peace in the World again. If Kamala gets 4 more years, the World goes up in smoke."
Biden stumbled and slurred his way through his usual incoherent scripted remarks. Notice, once again, the man is utterly incapable of pronouncing consonant clusters, and slurs "national," for example, as "nashal." "Constant contact" becomes "consant contact."
This is the man that Kamala Harris assured us was completely in command.
Behold, your Master of Foreign Policy.
From July, just before the Pelosi-Obama Coup, when Biden was forced out of office, Biden aide Andrew Bates pronounced this about Biden:
Andrew Bates
@AndrewJBates46
To answer the question on everyones minds: No, Joe Biden does not have a doctorate in foreign affairs.
He's just that fucking good.
I love that they've gone from wetting themselves over Trump's profanity to saying the f-word every other sentence to show their "authenticity" and "passion" to the workin' man.
Four years ago:
Kamala Harris
@KamalaHarris
Either the Trump Administration is angling for another disastrous war in the Middle East, or they've spent two years saber-rattling against Iran with no strategy and no endgame.
This president is making America weaker and less safe.

Here's the Dick-Riding Ding-a-Ling reading someone else's words and trying to appear "presidential." Still threading that line between pretending to oppose Iran's terrorism, and still giving hope to the Muslims of Dearborn, Michigan, that she'll declare Israel an enemy when, as Obama said to Soviet Prime Minister Medeyev, she has "more room to manuever."
Iran took Kamala's fake "don't" the same way it was taken by Willie Brown's swollen dong.
Reporters are so smart. We should heed their wisdom.
Once again, Lindsey Graham deliberately upsets a tenuous peace between the two wings of the GOP, just before an election.
The GOP is divided three ways: Hardcore America Firsters, who wrongly take even rhetorical support for Israel to be some kind of a plot to put American troops on the border with Gaza, bloodthirsty Chicken Hawk neocons who want to invade All the Places, and then people like me, and many others, who want America to restrict its overseas adventures while still also wanting to support allies attacked by terrorists.
Lindsey Graham has deliberately provoked America Firsters, who can now point to his words to say, "See? Neocons really do want America to serve as Israel's hireling foreign army!"
And he does this on purpose. He did this before the congressional elections of 2022, if memory serves, stepping on the GOP's line that we're not going to nationalize the abortion question, but leave it to the states, by saying "Hell yeah we're going to nationalize it, Congress must pass a law outlawing abortion everywhere in all cases!"
And mind you: This is an obvious social liberal who does not believe a word of this.
So why did he say it? The same reason he now proposes firing American missiles into Iran: To help the Democrat-Media Party, of which he is a not-so-secret member.
This is not an accident. He keeps doing the same thing, usually on the eve of an election. He opens up fights in the GOP that most have agreed to temporarily paper over for the purposes of an election-eve united front, and hands talking points to the Democrat-Media Party.
Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence.
The third time it's Democrats having a stack of kompromat on Graham thicker than Liz Cheney's floppy grundle.
