Kamala Harris keeps claiming she was in the Capitol Building during the January 6th riot. It's a, get this, lie.
She had been at the Capitol Building early in the day, before 11:20 am. She left hours before the crowds gathered and the riot began.
CLAIM: Vice President Kamala Harris falsely suggested during Tuesday's debate that she was at the Capitol Building during the January 6 riot.
VERDICT: Mostly false.
Harris left the Capitol Building before the riot began, according to RealClearPolitics investigative reporter Julie Kelly.
"Absolutely stunned at this lie. Harris left the Capitol at 11:20 for the DNC," Kelly posted on X. "Harris was evacuated from DNC at 1:17pm and she did not go to the Capitol."
"The 1st breach of the inside of Capitol was 2:12," she said. "Just a flat out lie and no fact check by any media outlet yet."
Jonah Goldberg is super-proud that The Dispatch -- which he falsely believes to be some kind of tony "magazine of ideas" -- has shit out this latest Tourette's-inflected screed from lower-class-cuck Kevin D. Williamson.
Williamson, who himself was born poor white trash and has featherbedded well enough to count himself as upper middle class white trash, can't stop heaping insult after insult on J.D. Vance for his modest station:
David Strom comments:
Among the worst offenders are some former Republicans. Rick Wilson famously called for somebody to "put a bullet" in Donald Trump's head, and many of their former compatriots are quite open about their disdain for Americans who are watching their free speech rights, their family assets, and their culture slip away from them.
It is striking that these defenders of democracy spend so much time attacking not Trump but Trump's supporters. They throw outrageous insults at them, portraying them as ignorant poltroons who should learn to code, take up voodoo or santeria if they want to fit into their communities, and, for God's sake, learn Creole.
Trump has forced many of these people to reveal something that was either true always about themselves or has become true as Trump derangement syndrome has rotted their minds: they hate Americans. We are unsophisticated; we don't want to kill babies, put men in girls' locker rooms, get a lap dance from a drag queen, or read pornographic literature to kindergarteners.
This isn't such a shock. I remember a former commenter here telling us how angry and upset his dullard girlfriend was due to Sarah Palin's counter-attacks on the leftist elite -- she didn't like anyone even slightly suggesting that her paper credential wasn't as glorious as she thought it was.
There are a lot of people in the NeverTrump camp who were never "conservative" in any fashion -- they merely hated poor people and wanted to bash them to make themselves feel more exalted. Their sole attachment to the party was that it had the proper disdain for The Poors.
Kevin D. Williams, who has been running faster from his own low birth faster than Clarice Starling booking a bus ticket to Quantico, is among the most disgraceful of these faux-"elitist" scumbags. If you look into his own history, and his own attacks on his own mother, you'll see it all as vulgarly Freudian. He hates what he was born as, and therefore he attempts to separate himself from his own past and birthright by constantly attacking people born in the same circumstances as himself as, essentially, inhuman cattle.
And you see, by essentially repeating whole sections of Mein Kampf with a light search-and-replace for his choice of subhuman enemies -- voilà, he establishes how enlightened he is.
It's always -- always -- the people with the most tenuous qualifications for the class they aspire to belong to who are the most passionate defenders of that class, and the most bloodthirsty enemies of all other classes.
A Victor Davis Hansen or Michael Walsh doesn't have to fight to be regarded as members-in-good-standing of the qualified intellectual class. They obviously belong in that class.
Po' country trash Kevin D. Williamson, however, does not really belong to the class he wishes he was a part of, so he has to scream the loudest that he belongs and denounce his true class with all the troglodytic vulgarity of a semi-educated, jumped-up Nazi mid-level officer.
Peter Thiel alleges -- though I think this is just his speculation, based on the "vibe" of it-- that you cannot get promoted by the Deep State unless it has Kompromat over you, making you their robot.
