Republicans lead by a scotch -- 1% -- obviously within the MOE.
But Republicans outperform their polls and further, they have a built-in structural advantage.
On a generic ballot, 46% of registered voters said they would back the GOP in a recent Napolitan News Service survey. A further 45% backed the Democrats.
That figure included so-called "leaners," without whom the figures stood at 43% GOP to 41% Democrats. The leaner-inclusive figure marked a net gain of 1% over the August iteration of the survey, when 47% backed each party.
The Democrats lead on enthusiasm/intensity, with 47% saying that they are very enthusiastic to vote in 2026, compared to 41% of Republicans saying the same. We need to change this. And we really need Trump to summon the banners and get his low-propensity personal voting pool to vote in the midterms for people besides him.
Meanwhile, Trump posted an AI video making fun of Democrats stopping the American government for free health care for illegals.
Democrats are shrieking this is the Most Racistly Racist Thing Trump Has Ever Done since the last Most Racistly Racist Thing he did last week.
And so further Sombrero videos have been made.
