NextImg:Oh No! Mitch McConnell Hospitalized After Tripping and Falling at a DC Hotel

I was holding this for Quick Hits, but I see that people wish to be heard on this issue. So here's a brief post about the sad news that has caused every conservative's heart to skip a beat.

He was at a "private dinner" which I assume is DC jargon for "collecting payoff money from his Chinese handlers."

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell remained in the hospital Thursday following a fall at a Washington, D.C., hotel, Wednesday night.

"This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner. He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment," McConnell's spokesperson Doug Andres told ABC News Wednesday night.

As of Thursday morning, his team was not providing any further information on the extent of McConnell's injuries or how long he is expected to remain hospitalized.

Prayers.

What kind of prayers?, one might wonder.

Mind your own beeswax. We all pray in our own way for our own purposes. I'm praying for the intervention of Saint Nunya Buzniss.

BTW, the really fun news is that Mitch McConnell has been trying out Harry Reid's exercise equipment.

What a terrible thing to say.

On the issue of appointment of a replacement, should that come up: The Governor gets to appoint a replacement, and he's a Democrat. However, the Republicans who control the legislature got a little worried about Corruption Turtle's health and passed a law stating that while the governor can appoint a replacement for a senator who is unable to complete his term, he must choose from a list of acceptable replacements submitted by the legislature.

The governor claims this isn't constitutional. I think it will hold up; other states do something similar.
