I've pointed out before that the "deal" offered to Middle Class Joe was that either he remains in the race, and is backstabbed by his party throughout the election season and for all of future history, or he agrees to resign and is given ovation after ovation as if he is Caesar returning in triumph from Gaul.
I completely understand partisan, admitted Democrats calling Biden a hero in exchange for stepping down.
But why is the allegedly non-partisan media taking part in the ovations for Caesar as well?
Democrats and the media are pretending that this "hero" had lots of accomplishments and triumphs in his usurped term in office.
But if that's so -- why is Kamala Harris is preparing to disown Biden and separate herself from all of his many glittering victories?
Axios reported Wednesday that Harris "is hoping to distance herself" from Biden on the economy and other issues on which voters view him unfavorably. Earlier this week, for example, Harris vowed that reducing inflation would be "a day one priority" if elected. (Fact check: She has been in office for more than 1,300 days.)
...
Harris will propose government controls on food prices by banning "corporate price gouging." Many experts have denounced the proposal as nonsensical and unserious, an example of blatant political pandering in order to distance herself from the Biden administration's abysmal record on inflation. Meanwhile, some journalists who should know better have sought to assist the Harris campaign by treating it as a serious proposal worthy of consideration. (Fact check: It is not.) Others, including pro-Harris commentator Josh Barro, have argued that the candidate's endorsement of "dumb populist economic policies" was a sign that Harris is "focused on winning."
...
If journalists ever decide to hold Harris accountable for her words and actions, she might struggle to articulate a coherent economic message while distancing herself from the administration in which she served and was reportedly the "last person in the room" on every important policy decision President Joe Biden made since 2021.
Cutting herself free of Biden is going to be difficult -- because Biden and his staffers won't let her. They're wrapping the Biden record of failure and chaos around Kamala's drunken turkeyneck.
[A]s Kamala Harris and her handlers try to cover up her record and recreate her into something she's not going into the fall campaign season, one thing she can't run away from is the fact that she's tied to Joe Biden's record, for better or for worse.
This is something that was explained, inadvertently, by Biden White House communications director Ben LaBolt, who admitted in a Monday DNC kickoff interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that Kamala Harris "has been the governing partner for every key decision that the president has made in his term in office."
Top Biden puppeteer Ron Klain admits that the White House was never able to Position Kamala for Success.
In other words: She was a complete failure in her nearly four years as Vice President.
Ron Klain, former chief of staff for President Joe Biden, admitted in an interview with the New York Times that Kamala Harris failed in her role as vice president. Klain acknowledged that despite the administration being "united behind the idea she should be successful," they "just didn't find the path to do it."
Key Details:
In the interview, Klain discussed the administration's struggles with managing critical issues, including the Afghanistan withdrawal and border security, where Harris was deeply involved. He admitted that the administration faced significant challenges but could not guide Harris to success.
Klain emphasized that the team was committed to Harris's success but ultimately could not find the right path. "We were all united behind the idea she should be successful. We just didn't find the path to do it," he said.
Jeffrey Zients, Biden's current chief of staff, echoed Klain's sentiments, stating that Harris was deeply involved in the administration's decisions from the start, but the outcomes were not as they had hoped.
The Democrat Party has so much faith in Kamala that they're praising her refusal to answer questions, and saying the quiet part out loud -- Kamala doesn't need to talk up her policies, because the Marxist Media will do that for her.
In fact, I think Vice President Harris has been incredibly brave to roll out an ambitions economic agenda, because we all know how this works. The more details you share, the more your policies are going to get picked apart. But she's saying, I trust the American people, I trust the journalists to explain these policies and our values to folks. And I think when that happens, that will be successful for Democrats.
I don't know why they're so worried about Kamala talking -- she's clearly a highly-informed superthinker.
When asked how she intends to pay for all the spending boondoggles she's proposing, she claims that there's a "return on investment" for the government spending and that somehow the government will earn, what? Dividends on its spending?
I can't transcribe it because it's incoherent, but it's something about earned income child tax credits and some magical theory about how things pay for themselves. Also, her plan will somehow reduce child poverty by 50 percent. You could probably create a drinking game from these answers since I never knew that the phrase "return on investment" could be mentioned so many times in roughly 60 seconds:
"It pays for itself" has a real Steel Panthernomics vibe to it.
