NextImg:James Comer Announces He Will be "Inviting" Joe Biden to Explain Why His Family Has Made Millions from Chinese Intelligence Operatives and Russian Gangsters

Groomer propaganda hub ABC "News:"

After nearly eight hours of contentious testimony, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer gaveled Wednesday's impeachment hearing out of session -- but not before announcing his intention to call President Joe Biden to testify about his alleged involvement in his family's business endeavors.

"In the coming days, I will invite President Biden to the Oversight Committee to provide his testimony and explain why his family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign companies with his assistance," Comer said in a closing statement. "We need to hear from the president himself."

The hearing -- perhaps as expected -- retreaded over well-worn allegations of Biden family impropriety by House Republicans...

Weird, they're "well-worn," and yet have never actually been covered on your groomer propaganda site.

... while Democrats sought to cast the probe as a political hit job with no merits.

"The Bidens don't sell a product or service or set of skills," Comer said in his opening statement. "The Bidens sell Joe Biden. That is their business."

Comer talked up what we learned from this week's hearings:

Biden family business associates Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis testified under oath President Joe Biden actively participated in his family's corrupt business dealings and acted as the closer for deals with Chinese and Russian entities.

Mr. Tony Bobulinski, Biden family business associate: "Joe Biden was more than a participant in and beneficiary of his family's business; he was an active, aware enabler who met with business associates such as myself to further the business, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to maintain plausible deniability."

Mr. Jason Galanis, Biden family business associate: "During the May 4th party, we were told to go to an area of the restaurant to gather because Hunter was going to call his father. Hunter called his father, said hello and 'hold on, Pops,' then put the call on speakerphone and said, 'I am here with our friends I told you were coming to town, and we wanted to say hello.' The Vice President said hello and some pleasantries [...] and then seemed like he wanted to bring the call to an end by saying, 'Ok then, you be good to my boy.' Hunter responded by saying, 'Everything is good, and we are moving ahead.' The Vice President said something about 'being helpful,' and Hunter ended the call by saying that he was going to call his father later.Devon had confirmed Ms. Baturina was committed to a 'hard order' of $10-20 million in a Burnham investment banking client."

The Bidens don't sell a product or a service or a set of skills. President Joe Biden is "the brand" that the Biden family is selling for millions of dollars to those around the world willing to pay for it.

Mr. Tony Bobulinski: "I want to be crystal clear: from my direct personal experience and what I have subsequently come to learn, it is clear to me that Joe Biden was 'the Brand' being sold by the Biden family. His family's foreign influence peddling operation -- from China to Ukraine and elsewhere -- sold out to foreign actors who were seeking to gain influence and access to Joe Biden and the United States government."

Mr. Jason Galanis: "The entire value-add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden."

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.): "The scam is simple. It's done over and over again. The Biden family promises Joe's power, Joe Biden shows up, and millions of dollars come into the Bidens' pockets."

In the coming days, I will invite President Joe Biden to the House Oversight Committee to provide his own testimony and explain why his family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign companies with his assistance.

Sam J. at Twitchy speculates that this "invitation" may be the voluntary request before the issuance of a non-voluntary subpoena.

I don't know about that -- Nixon was never subpoenaed to come before the Impeachment Panel.

But that might just have been due to respect for separation of powers.

Peter Navarro, now the first cabinet-level official sent to prison for asserting executive privilege and not testifying before an (improperly-constituted) congressional inquiry, says that this executive privilege was just killed by the Biden Administration.

So maybe Biden doesn't have the right to refuse a subpoena.

As you read this, I have entered a federal prison. I am the first senior White House adviser ever to go to jail for a "crime" never before considered to be a crime, yet there are really two bigger stories for the American people to ponder.

The first story is about the death of the constitutional separation of powers and the demise of executive privilege that, since the days of George Washington, has helped facilitate effective presidential decision-making. The second is about the alarming success of lawfare and the partisan weaponization of our now dual system of justice.

Regarding story one, during a dispute over the Jay Treaty, President George Washington stood before Congress and said that to preserve the constitutional separation of powers, he could not command congressmen to come to the White House. Nor could Congress compel him to go before Congress. Thus, the doctrine of executive privilege was born.

Over the decades, through legal decisions and opinions, both the Supreme Court and the Department of Justice would zealously defend executive privilege as a bulwark of effective presidential decision-making. Without the insurance of confidentiality among and between the president and his advisers, he would not receive the best advice possible.

With my imprisonment, the constitutional separation of powers has been severely damaged while the doctrine of executive privilege lies smoldering on the ground. The only hope for a resurrection will be success on my appeal, which is now traveling through the Federal Appeals Court in the District of Columbia and then, inevitably, to the Supreme Court.

On a happier note: Representatives Waltz and Luna goofed on the hapless adulterer and compromised Chinese asset Eric Swallowall.
