Hunter Biden's Rosemont Seneca Partners investment firm traded more than 1,000 emails with Joe Biden's office during his time as vice president -- and hundreds remain hidden because of executive privilege asserted by the White House, documents released by the National Archives show.
The 861 emails that reference Rosemont Seneca were sent or received by the Office of the Vice President between January 2011 and December 2013, according to America First Legal, which obtained the messages from the National Archives and Records Administration and released them on Wednesday.
The White House refused to allow the release of 200 emails referencing Hunter Biden's firm, citing executive privilege.
Executive privilege is the (asserted) privilege of a president to receive candid advice from his staff without fear of the contents of that advice ever being disclosed.
Hunter Biden is not a government official. Executive privilege does not cover communications with him. Unless Biden is admitting that Hunter Biden was an unofficial advisor at the same time he was taking million from the Russian gangsters, Ukrainian oligarchs, and the Chinese intelligence services?
"Release would disclose confidential advice between the President and his advisors, or between such advisors," NARA informed America First Legal in response to its records request.
Hunter is an advisor? He was advising the president on policy -- say Ukrainian policy, for example -- while Hunter was being paid $83,333 per month by a Ukrainian energy company which was being investigated by the Ukrainian government for corruption?
We know exactly why these emails are being withheld: Because they establish that Biden talked with Hunter about his "businesses" every day, and asked him for little favors here and there to help his "business."
Like getting the prosecutor investigating Burisma fired.
Hunter Biden and his business associates frequently used their direct line of communications with the Office of the Vice President to leverage access to the Obama White House, the trove of emails show.
...
In one frantic December 2013 email, lobbyist Doug Davenport begs Hunter Biden's former business partner Eric Schwerin for tickets, on short notice, to the White House Christmas tour, indicating that Rosemont Seneca's level of access to the Executive Mansion was well-known.

"These records provide even more evidence that no daylight existed between Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings and the Office of the Vice President during the Obama Administration," Gene Hamilton, America First Legal vice president and general counsel, said in a statement.
"The evidence accumulating against the Biden family's malfeasance is staggering. We will continue to put the pieces of this puzzle together and expose the truth to the American people," he added.
Even before this newest revelation, Jonathan Turley says that the Democrats, by stonewalling and protecting Biden from less-intrusive means of inquiry, have left Congress with no choice but to impeach Biden.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley reacted to the "very troubling picture" of mounting Hunter Biden evidence on "America Reports." The latest evidence revealed that Hunter Biden's business partner, Devon Archer, met with Secretary of State John Kerry weeks before the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma was fired. Turley on Monday criticized Democrats for calling to stop the investigation as more evidence is revealed.
Turley told Fox:
There is a lot [of details], but there's this disconnect. The more evidence we get, the louder the call is from the Democrats to stop any further investigation. Well, it really doesn't make much sense. I mean, we now have a very troubling picture that is composed of financial records with over $20 million that are being transferred through a myriad of accounts that seem overly complex. It seems like the only purpose of those accounts is to hide those transfers. You have what I think now is accepted as, sort of, open influence peddling by Hunter Biden. That narrative has shifted. Now, you have the media admitting that he was selling influence and access, but they insist that's an illusion. Well, how do we know that? I mean, you don't know if it's an illusion or not until we get to the bottom of this. And this meeting is just the latest such example. We need to know more about the meeting. But that information is not forthcoming. And that is why Merrick Garland and others are making the case for an impeachment inquiry. They're leaving Congress with very little choice.
