The hostages Hamas took and is now, impliclty, threatening to execute on live TV include... babies.
"I see moms with babies being taken by terrorists and as a mother myself I can't even comprehend that it's actually real," Noga Kamenetsky, a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Socialists of America are cheering Hamas.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) will host an "All Out for Palestine" rally in New York's Times Square on Sunday, gathering in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that has claimed more than 500 lives and left several thousand more injured.
The New York Post reports via an op-ed attributed to its Editorial Board that DSA supporters are urged to, "Wear a mask so you're not recognized" while being told, "Best to just let the swastikas do the talking."
"Never mind the hundreds of Israeli civilians and children who have been murdered, wounded, abducted, and terrorized. Their lives mean nothing to the DSA. Nothing," Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) wrote in response Saturday.
"The NYC-DSA is revealing itself for what it truly is: an antisemitic stain on the soul of America's largest city."
Isn't this the party of "The Squad"? Why yes it is:
The NY Post item details the DSA as the party of Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Rashida Talib -- and New York's own Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal "Fire Alarm" Bowman.
For her part, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO has issued a statement on the violence in Israel, taking to social media calling for an [end] to "U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid" while professing sympathy for the dead of injured.
Bush draws moral equivalency between Hamas terrorists and Israeli military, mourns deaths caused by "bombardment" of Gaza, before further condemning Israel's "military occupation" and claims "apartheid."
Anthony Blinken earlier lied when he claimed that none of the $6 billion Biden just gave to Iran funded attacks by Iran's proxy army of Hamas, with no one at CNN bothering to correct him or add the context that, of course, money is fungible.
Anchor Dana Bash said, "While we're talking about Iran, I have to ask you to, if you want to respond to what we're hearing from Republicans who are over and over since this happened using word appeasement when it comes to Iran and they criticized the decision to unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian funds. I know and want to state that that money has not yet been unfrozen. Iran does not yet have it. But the accusation is that...your administration posture towards Iran has helped contribute to this. I want to give you a chance to respond."
Blinken said, "Well, there are two things here. First, with regard to the funds that you mentioned, that were made available to Iran for humanitarian purposes. As part of getting Americans back who were being held or detained in Iran. Let's be very clear about this and it is deeply unfortunate that so many are playing politics when Israel is under attack."
He continued, "The facts are these, no U.S. taxpayer dollars were involved. These are Iranian resources that Iran has accumulated from the sales of oil that were stuck in a bank in South Korea. They have had from day one the right to use these monies for humanitarian purposes. They were moved from one account to another in another country to facilitate that use. As of now, not a single dollar has been spent from that account. The account is closely regulated by the U.S. Treasury Department. It could only be used for things like food, medicine, medical equipment. That is what this is about."
If a typical SJW permanent dependent calls up Daddy demanding money "for rent," while Daddy's check might go right to the landlord, that of course frees up the SJW to spend what little money xe has on drugs and "feminization surgeries." Money going into one pocket frees up the money in the other pocket to be spent on anything else.
Biden gave $6 billion to Iran to be spent on "humanitarian purposes," but that just allows Iran to take the money that would be spent on those purposes and spend it on murdering American citizens in Israel.
But the left is allowed to lie with total impunity without ever drawing a "disinformation violation."
A former Trump advisor says yes, Biden definitely funded Hamas through its "Partner for Peace" Iran.
In Biden's first year in office the administration began showering Palestinian authorities with $360 million in aid despite its own internal assessment that the funds it provided would likely make their way to Hamas. The administration ignored a demand from Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and eighteen other senators that the aid be halted unless it could be safeguarded from the terrorist group. The White House also bragged about all that it was doing beyond mere payola to elevate the Palestinian people, including "bolstering economic growth" and "fostering people-to-people dialogue to support peace."
Today, that people-to-people dialogue became open combat.
Biden resumed the pretense that normal relations with Iran's Islamist government were possible and desirable. Endless pathetic talks and sanctions relief, including unleashing a massive amount of sanctioned Iran oil, were supposed to convince Iran to ease off its nuclear program. Instead, the soft approach has allowed Iran's nuclear program and other misdeeds to progress. Iran can now launch satellites and has a uranium stockpile enriched to 60 percent--each component just one step short of a crude nuclear arsenal that can be delivered globally.
The Biden administration's approach requires make-believe that Iran's government isn't fundamentally and irrevocably committed to exporting terrorism and Islamist tyranny. It also pretends that Hamas, which Arab governments correctly see as an armed extension of the Muslim Brotherhood, is somehow not an instrumentality of Iran and its ambitions. Biden has returned U.S. policy to the misguided view that solving the Palestinian issue is the key to solving problems across the Middle East. On the contrary, while there are plenty of bad actors in the Middle East, including many who hate each other, the Iranian government is at the heart of the problem, and embraces diversity among the terrorists and Islamists it supports. Iran even hosts al Qaeda's leadership.
Today's surprise attack is not just a lapse of Israeli intelligence, but of our own $80 billion-per-year intelligence bureaucracy, which is distracted by the proxy war we are fighting against Russia in Ukraine and a war no one can explain in Syria. The U.S. government has never had the leadership necessary to focus on tracking and undermining political Islam (as opposed to the meaningless construct of "violent extremism"). The chief animating force behind these elements is the Iranian government, which Biden just paid $6 billion for five hostages.
