That's a copper bar sink. It looks fantastic when it is polished and bright shiny copper. Or when it has tarnished and has an ancient-looking patina.

But nowhere in between!

So I let it go, but I am impatient and just throw up my hands before it ages gracefully and polish the damned thing. Which lasts a week.

Lather, rinse, repeat!
