NextImg:Final NYT Poll: Tied Nationally.Final CNN Poll: Tied Nationally.

A national tie is good for Republicans, usually, but a Democrat on Twitter claimed the 2012 final polls put Obama and Romney at a tie, and Obama on the national vote by 3.7% (or something like that).

So this is no time for complacency or false confidence. It's close enough that yes, your vote matters.

The Hill reports on the Times/Siena poll:

Harris sees troubling signs in latest New York Times/Siena poll

The final national poll before Election Day from The New York Times and Siena College has some troubling signs for Vice President Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee.

The poll finds Harris deadlocked with former President Trump, the GOP nominee, after she led him in an earlier version of the poll taken in October by 3 percentage points.

The new poll is sparking talk that Harris could actually lose the popular vote to Trump.

...

Much of the talk surrounding the 2024 race has been about the chances of Harris winning the popular vote but losing the Electoral College to Trump, given the tightness of polling in seven key swing states.

But the New York Times poll suggests Harris is not building up the type of huge lead in the popular vote that might suggest she would also win the closely fought swing states.

...

In another bad sign for Harris, just 28 percent of respondents said the U.S. as a country was headed in the right direction. Given that Harris is the incumbent vice president and such numbers are difficult for a sitting administration to overcome, that is a tough number for her.

Actually, Trump's ahead of Harris in this poll when you look at the question about the real ballot, the ballot with five different candidates, not just head-to-head:

In a national poll from NY Times/Sienna released Friday, Donald Trump has surged to a one-point lead over Kamala Harris, 47 to 46 percent.

A little over two weeks ago, this same pollster showed the former president losing to Harris by three points, 44 to 47 percent.

That represents a four-point swing in one of the most trusted polls out there.

That particular result is when third-party candidates are included in the survey.

In a head-to-head race with no third-party candidates, this same poll shows the national race tied, 48 to 48 percent.

Trump's edge on the economy has supposedly shrunk to just 6 points, but I imagine that's due to Democrats just deciding that Aksually the economy must be good if I'm voting for these assholes again, after years of admitting the economy is terrible.

Still, not great.

One interesting point from Effeminate Thumb Chris Cillizza is the erosion of the Democrats' youth advantage.

Broke down the 5 #'s from the NYT/Siena poll that jumped out to me.

One BIG one:

Harris is +12 among 18-29 year olds.

Biden won that age cohort by 24. Hillary won them by 19.

Trouble.

Don't get too excited: Biden is, of course, rigging the election by forcing Virginia (which is now in play) to put non-citizens who admitted they are non-citizens back on the election rolls so they can vote for Democrats:

Attorney General Miyares Releases Statement on Court Ruling Regarding Non-Citizens On Voter Rolls

It should never be illegal to remove an illegal voter. Yet, today a Court -- urged by the Biden-Harris Department of Justice -- ordered Virginia to put the names of non-citizens back on the voter rolls, mere days before a presidential election. The Department of Justice pulled this shameful, politically motivated stunt 25 days before Election Day, challenging a Virginia process signed into law 18 years ago by a Democrat governor and approved by the Department of Justice in 2006.

More concerning is the open practice by the Biden-Harris administration to weaponize the legal system against the enemies of so-called progress. That is the definition of lawfare. To openly choose weaponization over good process and lawfare over integrity isn't democracy: it's bullying, pure and simple, and I always stand up to bullies.

In the meantime, I encourage every Virginian to exercise their right to vote. Rest assured, I will never stop fighting to preserve the integrity of our election process.

The Commonwealth of Virginia will appeal this decision -- all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

Scenes from the election trail:

"A Michigan Arab man was kicked out of Kamala's event with Liz Cheney for no apparent reason, and it sparked so much outrage in the community that the Harris campaign had to apologize.

USSS confirmed he wasn't a threat. This is a disaster for Kamala."

Let's F&%$in' Go!
