I have no idea if this is true. There are two things that make me think it might not be true:
1, Four of the accusers are, of course, anonymous. One has put her name to the claim.
2, the report smuggles in charges of "emotional abuse." I'm sorry, but if you have to buttress your r*pe charges with some additional claims of "emotional abuse," I have to wonder: How strong are your r4pe claims, then?
But I don't know. Until 20 minutes ago I hated this guy and would have more easily accepted allegations against him. Now he's done a Face Turn but I still don't have much of a read on him.
The Daily Caller summarizes the charges made on a British TV show:
Allegations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse have made been against Russell Brand Saturday as reported by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4 Dispatches, per The Guardian.
Five women, four of whom remain anonymous, participated in the Dispatches documentary which aired Saturday night. The women alleged that they were sexually assaulted by the former actor between 2006 and 2013 while he was at the height of his career. During those years, Brand starred in various Hollywood films like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Despicable Me," and "Rock of Ages."
One woman claimed Brand raped her against a wall in his Los Angeles residence, which is allegedly supported by her medical records, according to The Times. Another women accused the former actor of assaulting her when she was only 16 years old while he was in his 30s. The third woman alleged that she was also sexually assaulted by him while they worked together. The fourth woman claimed Brand had been abusive towards her while they were in a relationship.
Below, Brand denies the allegations. He says he was merely "promiscuous" during this time frame but that all of his encounters were consensual. He doesn't mention the claim from the 16 year old, for which mere consensuality is not a perfect defense.
Also below, a GBNews report about the claims made by Channel 4 and the Sunday Times. The opening features a hard-to-watch claim of a r4pe by a woman who appears on camera.
Viva Frei and Robert Barnes are extremely skeptical of the claims, and point out that everyone who goes against The Regime's diktats has a smear campaign launched against them. They point out that Elon Musk is being accused of being antisemitic by the ADL, who has waged a campaign resulting in the reduction of Twitter ad sales by 60-70%. Based on Musk finding George Soros to be a sinister character.
