NextImg:Child Actor Matthew Lawrence Says That a Director Offered Him a Role in a Marvel Movie... If He Took Off His Shirt and "Did XYZ"

Marvel movie, eh? What Marvel franchise has a lot of roles open, and also needs a lot of young actors to play those roles?

I'm thinking the X in XYZ maybe stood for "X-Men."

Lawrence says further that he was fired from his talent agency for refusing to strip for this director.

Matthew Lawrence is opening up about a horrible experience that involved an Oscar-winning film director.

During the latest episode of his Brotherly Love podcast, Lawrence recalled being offered a role at a Marvel production but only if he stripped.

"There's been many times in my life where I've been propositioned to get a huge role," Lawrence said. "I've lost my agency because I went to the hotel room, which I can't believe they would send me to, of a very prominent Oscar award-winning director who showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off and said he needed to take Polaroids of me."

I kinda-sorta understand why you'd want to see someone's physique for a superhero movie. Or any movie where the person would be playing a heroic role.

But... this doesn't seem professional. It seems like you'd say "Okay we're going to need a physique test (or whatever), it'll just be me and the cameraman present."

Asking someone to take off his clothes, while alone with him, and snapping pics with the amateur pornographer's camera of choice, the Polaroid, seems very sketchy.

And what does "do XYZ" mean?

Lawrence added, "And then if I did X, Y and Z, I would be the next Marvel character. I didn't do that, and my agency fired me because I left this director's room."

The actor didn't reveal any names or give dates on when this encounter happened. Lawrence also mentioned the double standard that exists when male actors talk about sexual harassment versus female actors.

A lot of people are going to think Bryan Singer, who has had a lot of allegations thrown at him, including pressuring a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old to shower naked for Apt Pupil. He was recently, belatedly cancelled by Hollywood.

But unless I'm missing it, he never won an Oscar. Though I can easily see someone thinking he did; he got a lot of attention for Apt Pupil, and Christopher McQuarrie won a Screenwriting Oscar for The Usual Suspects.

Speaking of child actors being forced into unpleasant scenarios:

As has grown to be the Iron Rule of Woke Activist "Critics" and Disney Shills, the "reviewer" rating is high, while the actual audience score is dreadful.

The CBC calls this "pointless." It also say that this time, it's told from Wendy' point of view.

It was always told from Wendy's point of view, cuz.

But this time, This Princess Saves Herself! (Snap!)
