But you peons all need to do what The Authorities tell you to do.
Yesterday Biden walked into a crowded White House event. He announced that "they say I have to wear the mask for ten days," but then he didn't wear it during his 10 minute speech. He also "joked," "Don't tell them I didn't wear it on the way in."
So are masks serious business or are they Facial Theater? Which is it, Stupid?
"Let me explain to the press - I've been tested again today. I'm clear across the board," Biden stated, mask in hand. "But they keep telling me, because this has to be 10 days or something, I've got to keep wearing it."
"But don't tell them I didn't have it on when I walked in," he also said.
He did not wear one for the entirety of his 10-minute speech.
And this is a different event than the previous instance of failing to wear a mask. He previously did not wear a mask when he put a medal on an 80-year-old Vietnam veteran, despite Biden having just been exposed to covid, despite coming within sniffing distance of the 80-year-old man, and despite 80-year-olds being one of the few demographics at serious risk due to covid.
Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about this, and claimed that Biden would start wearing his mask like his Toddler Minders tell him to.
Whoops!
Whoopsie!
It was an absolutely incredible moment considering the fact that press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Tuesday that Biden would start wearing masks indoors again after questions were raised over him not wearing one during a Medal of Honor ceremony as he pinned the medal on its 81-year-old recipient, Army Cpt. Larry Taylor, a Vietnam War veteran.
By the way: 24 hours later, the White House has some spin about why Biden left that Medal of Honor ceremony early.
Karine Jean-Pierre says that was to protect others from exposure to Biden's possible covid.
Weird how Biden didn't seem to GAF about covid when he was breathing on the 80-year-old MoH recipient.
"Did you say you're a fast cook?! That's it?!!!" -- Vincent Gambini aka Vincent Gallo aka Vincent Callow
You can see that Biden blows his diseased breath into a bunch of people as he makes his Irish Goodbye.
While the media makes excuses for Biden not taking covid seriously, it blares out covid hysteria at the rest of us.
This article amps up the fear even as it's forced to admit the newest variant they're scaring you with isn't all that scary.
Should you be worried about latest COVID variant? Will the new vaccines fight BA.2.86?
The newest COVID-19 variant isn't as scary as it seemed at first, and fall booster shots should protect against it and other variants circulating now, new data suggests.
[T]hree studies released since the weekend, along with Moderna's new data, suggest the variant, nicknamed Pirola, isn't so bad -- at least for now, said Dr. Eric Topol, professor and executive vice president of Scripps Research in La Jolla, California.
"It's been downgraded from a hurricane to not even a tropical storm. We're lucky," Topol said. "This one could have been really bad."
COVID-19 infections have been rising since early July, data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows. Hospitalizations are up nearly 16% and deaths nearly 17% in the week that ended Thursday compared with the week before, though totals remain well below previous peaks.
"It's not looking so good from the standpoint of infections," Topol said.
According to CDC data, EG.5, sometimes called Eris, accounts for more than 21% of COVID-19 infections in the United States; FL.1.5.1 for more than 14%; and two XB.1.16 variants a total of 18%. A wide variety of variants make up the balance.
...
Everyone can benefit from a vaccine, Topol said, but the size of the benefit is much greater for those who are older or have health problems.
"Immunity to this virus after six months is not very good for high-risk people," he said.
