NextImg:Biden-Harris White House Is Shocked by Hamas's Brutal Execution of Hostages, and Begins to Suspect the Unthinkable -- Maybe Hamas is a Bad Actor That Actually Doesn't Want Peace at All!

Check out the Big Brains of our Elites!

David Strom quotes the media punching bag of the day (besides AP), Axios:

Biden and his top advisers were shocked after Hamas killed six hostages, among them U.S. citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, and have started to rethink the way forward in the negotiations over the deal.

At the same time, Hamas' new demand to increase the number of Palestinian prisoners released as part of the deal raised even more concerns and questions among U.S. negotiators about whether an agreement is possible, U.S. officials said.
"We still think the deal is the only way to save the lives of the hostages and stop the war. But the executions not only increased our sense of urgency but also called into question Hamas' willingness to do a deal of any kind," a U.S. official said.

Wow! These Elites! No wonder they're in charge! They have powers of cognition that are so far above those of sub-peons like us!

Strom comments:

We are led by fools. No doubt Bibi Netanyahu has been telling the Biden administration these things since 10/7, and they merely saw him as a right-wing warmonger who must be wrong. Surely, if only Israel made concessions to and friends with Hamas we could all come to some sort of agreement.

Idiots.

Yet here we are, 11 months after the most brutal day in Israeli history, and the US government is slowly realizing that Hamas are not the good guy in all this.

Of course, this isn't really the Democrat Party being "fooled:" It's more that the Democrat Party, determined to change the electorate, has imported tens of millions of Newcomers from the Arab-Muslim world, and those Newcomers are pro-terrorist, so the Democrat Party is feeling out an exciting "Third Way" between the extremes of being pro-terrorism or, like the Republican fuddy-duddy racist old-thinkers, being anti-terrorist.

They want to be "centrists" on terrorism.

Now, that's a shift in the Biden-Harris White House's thinking.

But you know whose thinking hasn't changed?

The Harris-Walz ticket's.

Because Tim Walz, governor of a state in which explicitly-pro-terrorist illegal alien visa-scammer Ilhan "Omar" Nur is a Representative, once again expresses his desire to support Hamas and keep them in power as a check on the cruelty of Israel.

As they say, when a terrorist apologist speaks, you can ignore everything before that crucial "but" -- it's what comes after the telling "but" that the terrorist apologist actually believes.

[Walz]: Well, I think first and foremost what we saw on October 7th was a horrific act of violence against the people of Israel. They have certainly, and the vice president said it, I've said it, have the right to defend themselves and the United States will always stand by that, but we can't allow what's happened in Gaza to happen. The Palestinian people have every right to life and liberty themselves. We need to continue, I think to put the leverage on to make sure we move towards a two state solution. I think we're at a critical point right now. We need the Netanyahu government to start moving in that direction. But I think those folks who are speaking out loudly in Michigan are speaking out for all the right reasons. It's a humanitarian crisis. It can't stand the way it is. And we need to find a way that people can live together in this and we've said it and continue to say it, getting a ceasefire with the return of the hostages and then moving towards a sustainable two state solution is the only way forward.

Douglas Murray just knocked down Piers Morgan for making the same claim-- that the key to "peace" is constantly mau-mauing Israel into being more "open" to peace and being willing to "compromise." With terrorist rapist and hostage-takers who shoot their hostages in the back of their heads rather than allow them to be liberated by rescuers. Douglas Murray points out that only a fraction of wars are settled by a "peace process." The majority are settled by, get this, one side winning in such a comprehensive way that the losing side is forced to come to terms and give up its own demands -- such as a "From the River to the Sea" eradication of Israel and ethnic cleansing of all Jews from the region. And note: That is best-case scenario for the Jews of Israel. Ethnic cleansing is their best hope.
