NextImg:As Criminal Gangs Murder Their Way to Power in Haiti, Biden Sends American Marines Into the Meatgrinder

Wonderful.

We've got boots on the ground in Gaza building a dock, and US Marines inserted into a f***ing gangwar in a shithole country.

A Marine anti-terrorism unit has now been deployed to protect the American embassy in Haiti, U.S. military officials say, as violent gangs continue to generate unrest in the Caribbean nation's capital.

Why not just evacuate the embassy?

The U.S. Southern Command said in a statement early Wednesday that at the request of the State Department, it deployed a "U.S. Marine Fleet-Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) to maintain strong security capabilities at the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and conduct relief in place for our current Marines, a common and routine practice worldwide."

It's nothing but gaslighting 24/7 -- inserting US troops into a foreign gangwar is "a common and routine practice worldwide."

"The U.S. Embassy remains open, and limited operations continue, focused on assistance to U.S. citizens and supporting Haitian-led efforts to secure a peaceful transition of power," it added.

The former president had to flee because of "unrest."

"A peaceful transition of power" is out the door already.

...

The deployment of a multinational force to Haiti with a price tag of $100 million was announced by Secretary of State Antony Blinken following a meeting with Caribbean leaders in Jamaica on Monday.

...

But Haitian gang leader Jimmy "Barbecue" Chérizier said Monday that "Haitian people will choose who will govern them," according to The Associated Press.

Oh right -- one of the gang leaders is named "Barbecue."

He might attempt to become the country's leader.

A violent uprising in the Caribbean nation of Haiti has put the spotlight on the man leading the mayhem -- a homicidal gang boss and former policeman called Jimmy "Barbecue" Chérizier.

Over the past two weeks, Haiti's powerful gangs have plunged a country already on life support into a coma. More than 3,800 hardened criminals were broken out of Haiti's two biggest jails, the country's international airport has been partially taken over, and gangs have tried to seize the political quarter of its capital, Port-au-Prince.

Following the recent wave of violence, the country's acting president, Ariel Henry, has agreed to step down once a transitional council has been created to run the country. Henry has become a pariah in Haitian politics. He is an unelected leader, taking power after Haiti's president was assassinated in 2021, and has presided over the country's economic freefall.

It is unclear how the current political crisis will be solved. But Chérizier has emerged from the armed insurrection as the most formidable leader in Haiti, and some suspect he may have political aspirations of his own.

He has claimed to be fighting a holy war of sorts for the soul of Haiti, delivering "it back into the hands of its chosen people, the everyday Haitian beat down by years of abuse, racism and corruption."

Racism in a 99.9% black country, huh?

DeSantis has put Florida's border agents on high alert, expecting a mass boatlift from this shithole country.

Border agents in Miami have been told to prepare for a wave of migration from Haiti following the takeover of the country by bloodthirsty gangs, The Post has learned.

An internal agency email leaked to The Post pointed out it is unlikely Haitians who take to the sea and enter Florida illegally will be repatriated back to their home country, given its instability.

The message also warned that one vessel of migrants landing would overwhelm agency capabilities in the area.

"One landing will cripple the station and our ability to respond to other traffic," the email to agents read.

Roughly 15,000 people have been internally displaced in recent days due to the gang takeover of the country, according to the UN.

The gangs have wreaked violence and terror through the burning of buildings, lootings, attacks on police stations and government infrastructure resulting in the closure of hospitals, disease and starvation.

Oh, like an American Summer of Love, then!

"With the breakdown of the government in Haiti repatriating Haitians may not be happening for the foreseeable future," the email read. "If this is the case, then the Coast Guard may not be stopping Haitian sail freighter[s]."

Of course not. The email goes on to say that Biden's Coast Guard will "guide" the ships towards "land" -- meaning Florida, of course.

How about guiding them towards the port city of Washington, DC?

The complete collapse of Haiti is tragic, and drives home the importance of securing our own border. Among the celebrities of the new Haiti is gang leader "barbecue," so named because he likes to burn people alive.

Call me crazy but I don't think "barbecue" should come here.

Hey, remember when Trump accurately identified Haiti as a "shithole country" and the entire Regime Media Cartel lost their minds and insisted it was the Best Country Ever?!

The Washington Post wants you to know that Haiti is totally not a shithole country.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- On a ride through the gang-controlled streets of Haiti's capital on Friday, past an improvised barricade, the motorcycle taxi reached a crossroad. First came the smell -- of something burning. Then, the sight: a corpse, charred black, lying in the middle of street, its bones and feet sticking out of the pile of ash.

The night before, Jimmy Boursiquot, a carpenter who lives nearby, heard two gunshots. Peering carefully out his window, checking his watch -- it was 8:24 p.m. -- he saw two men drive away, leaving the body behind, not far from a university administration office and one of Haiti's largest telecommunications companies. A few hours later, he said, the men returned and burned the remains.

The streets of Port-au-Prince reek with the stench of the dead.

It's a grisly new marker of the violence and dysfunction in this beleaguered Caribbean nation of 11 million people. In the absence of a functioning state, violent armed gangs have taken control of more than 80 percent of the capital, the United Nations estimates. Gunfire crackles at all hours. Residents who dare leave their homes stumble across bodies that have been left where they fell.

Port-au-Prince reached a high of 92 degrees on Friday. The smell of decaying corpses, human rights activists say, has driven some people from their homes. Others have taken it upon themselves to move or burn the bodies. Because who else will?

The US Marines, I guess.

Oh, and a video went viral showing a gang member eating human body parts.

Don't worry about it, the fact-checkers say -- that video, while real, is Two Years Old! So it's "misleading" to associate it with the current conditions in the shithole country.

No, this cannibalism occurred when the country was in a state of relative peace and prosperity.

Matt Walsh talked about Haiti, and the Regime Media Cartel's insistence that "Haiti is Great Already."
