NextImg:FBI Seized Biden Notebooks That May Contain Classified Information

So irresponsible.

Notebooks President Biden used during his time as vice president that may reference classified information were among the material seized by the FBI during a search of his Delaware home last week, according to a report.

The notebooks include some of the 80-year-old president's writings related to his official White House business, such as notes on diplomatic engagements during his time as Barack Obama's vice president, according to NBC News.

While the notebooks themselves did not have classified markings, according to the report, some of Biden's handwritten notes inside them may reference sensitive material.

A person familiar with the investigation told the news outlet that the president had a "large" collection of notebooks with handwritten notes on both personal and official subject matter, including his family life and his experiences or thoughts as vice president.

Because some of the notes related to official business at the White House, they could be subject to the Presidential Records Act and should have been handed over to the National Archives at the end of the Obama presidency.

I think this is a defensive leak for Biden's benefit, suggesting to the public that all the FBI found was notebooks.

We'll see if that turns out to be true. My hunch: Nah.

The bigger news is that Hunter Biden's emails suggest that he was in possession of classified information himself. Was he reading Ukraine documents Lunchbucket Joe brought home for him, or was he just going out to the SCIF Corvette Hanger and reading?

A Hunter Biden email about Ukraine from 2014 may have been derived from secret information that was improperly shared with him.

"If it doesn't the Russians will continue to escalate there [sic] destabilization campaign, which could lead to a full scale take over of the eastern region most critically Donetsk," Hunter Biden wrote. "The strategic value is to create a land bridge for RU[ssia] to Crimea."

The 1,300-word email -- far more detailed and lengthy than anything else found on Hunter's abandoned laptop -- also referenced an upcoming trip to Ukraine by then-Vice President Joe Biden and appeared to acknowledge the older Biden's penchant for gaffes.

A Hunter Biden email about Ukraine from 2014 looks 'suspiciously' like it could have come from classified information, a leading GOP senator has claimed.

Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said the April 12, 2014 message to one of the first son's business partners resembles documents that the State Department gives members of the Senate when they travel overseas.

"It reads like one of those scene-setters -- highly detailed information in terms of Ukraine," Johnson told Fox News Tuesday.

The email from Hunter to Devon Archer includes a granular 22-point memo the Biden scion described as "thoughts after doing some research."

...

Those "thoughts" include the prescient predictions that Petro Poroshenko would be elected Ukraine's president the following month and that "some sort of decentralization will likely occur in the East."

That reference was about "tempering expectations" about Lunchbucket Joe's trip. The suggestion is that The Sage of Scranton could blow the rendezvous with a gaffe.

Was Lunchbucket Joe jotting down classified information into his notebooks to relay to Hunter, thereby increasing Hunter's value to foreign gangsters and potentates?

Note Biden's assistant Katie Chung -- recommended to him by Hunter -- scrambling to find Biden's "note cards."

And note that she asks Hunter Biden if he knows where Joe Biden's note cards are.

Biden Family Had Access to Materials in Biden Office, Emails Suggest

Biden aides asked Hunter Biden for help locating vice presidential materials

President Joe Biden's immediate family knew more about the location of documents in his possession than the president's aides, emails from Hunter Biden's laptop suggest.

Joe Biden's executive assistant Kathy Chung solicited assistance from Hunter Biden and four other Biden family members in locating "Vice President notecards" from "the office" on Nov. 27, 2018, emails show. The day before, another presidential aide, Richard Ruffner, had asked Chung for help locating the materials, telling her Joe Biden wanted him to have the notecards on hand.

Neither Ruffner nor Chung specified which office they were referring to in their messages, which went unanswered. Tranches of classified records from Joe Biden's time as senator and vice president have been located at his private library at his Wilmington, Del., home and his office at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.

Ted Cruz now demands that the FBI search Hunter's home and office for Joe's classified documents, too.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Sunday suggested the FBI should search the home and office used by Hunter Biden for any classified materials after such documents were found at President Biden's home in Delaware and a Washington, D.C., office he'd previously used.

"It seems he leaves classified documents wherever he goes. And we also know that Hunter Biden at times was -- declared his residence to be those very same places," Cruz told host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures."

The National Archives is asking presidents and vice-presidents to check their residences for classified documents-- no FBI raid for them, just a request. And no request that Hunter Biden check his crack squirrel-holes for classified documents.
