“Don’t bite the hand that feeds you,” the saying goes. But what if that same hand — Joe Biden — feeds the slavering beast slaying your children — and pats you condescendingly on the head?
Soon after his inauguration in 2021, Biden rushed to restart funding to Palestinians through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Claiming the funds would not or only “partially” benefit the Palestinian Authority, the Biden State Department enabled the organization ruling the enclave — Hamas — to flourish. Acknowledging the risk, the Biden administration nevertheless showered money on the same genocidal organization explicitly committed to wiping Jews off the face of the earth.
Furthermore, the Biden State Department was fully aware that doing so directly violated U.S. law: the Taylor Force Act. Passed in 2018 after the murder in Israel of American student Taylor Force, the law sought ending insensible funding by the U.S. of the notorious “Pay for Slay” Palestinian policy, glorifying murderers of Jews.
At the time, Taylor Force’s father expressed bewilderment over the abuse of American taxpayer’s money, noting, “The countries that provide the assistance don’t keep track of where their money goes, or maybe they turn a blind eye or they just don’t want to deal with it.”
Nevertheless, the bureaucrats in the Biden State Department sought an exemption to the law. Stating their need was for “foreign policy objectives,” they failed to elaborate on what exactly their objectives sought to achieve.
We can infer, however, that said policy did not consider security of Israelis targeted by the genocidal psychopaths slated to “potentially benefit.” Instead, the policy clearly intended to support the enemies of Israel — Taylor Force Act be damned.
If the enemy of my enemy is my friend, what does that make the friend of my enemy?
Moreover, we see here yet another example of the Biden administration consistently ignoring U.S. law for “policy objectives” that override inconveniences such as the U.S. Constitution.
These internal machinations of the Biden State Department are known thanks to Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) filing a lawsuit in late 2022 that has now gone to discovery. The judge overseeing this case noted the poignant justification due to recent events:
Plaintiffs claim … that the Government knew its ESF funding in the West Bank and Gaza was benefitting Palestinian terrorists, thereby “increasing the risk of terrorist attacks against the Plaintiffs and others similarly situated.”
These reasons, in concert with Hamas’s recent attack on Israel that killed fourteen Americans and resulted in others being held hostage, provide a sufficient basis for Plaintiffs’ request.
Undeterred, Biden ordered even more “humanitarian” assistance to the Gaza Strip after the Israeli military sealed the enclave. Ignoring evidence that fuel and medicines provided through UNRWA are looted by Hamas for their war effort, the Biden administration’s support for Hamas steamrolls on, despite strident concerns of several Republican U.S. senators.
Hamas even brazenly equipped its foot soldiers with UNICEF-provided medical kits during the Oct. 7 attack. Biden Secretary of State Antony Blinken then boasted of the $1.6 billion in U.S. aid poured into Gaza coffers, ostensibly oblivious of this direct support to the genocidal Hamas.
Whether the bureaucrats responsible for the execution of the policies dismissing U.S. law or the politicians in the Biden administration imposing them will be held accountable remains to be seen. Perhaps Merrick Garland’s grotesquely politicized Department of Justice will abstain from sabotaging any such effort.
Probably not.
One has to wonder, then — will Israel bite the hand that pats it condescendingly on the head?
Stirring rhetoric, tours by Air Force One, and arrival of carriers into the region inspire Israeli songs of praise for the savior Biden.
Yet there would be no need for exposing thousands of American sailors and troops to danger, risking open warfare with regional powers and their proxies, if not for the direct funding and facilitation of Israel’s enemies in the first place.
The Biden administration poured fuel on this fire. Should it be trusted to lead Israel out of the burning woods?
One only has to look at the Hand of Biden to see the blood on it — from the grateful licks by the slavering beast — to know the answer.
Perhaps calls by the Jewish community to stop supporting Biden and the Democrats with their extremist anti-Semitic factions will go heeded. The same anti-Semites fretting over Biden’s “support” of Israel that threatens to cost them votes from Hamas flag carriers. The same extremist anti-Semites such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) with extensive financial and political ties to Hamas.
Perhaps now that the beast revels in the blood of her children, Israel will see the “benefactor” for what it is.
Probably not.
