NextImg:Tulsi Gabbard Exposes Elites v. Americans

Uh oh.

Caught out.

The headline over at Fox News is this: “DOJ receives Gabbard’s criminal referral on bombshell claims Obama admin ‘manufactured’ Russian collusion hoax,” with the subtitle, “Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley will also declassify the appendix to a 2018 DOJ Inspector General report.”

The Fox story reports:

The Department of Justice confirmed Monday that it has received Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s criminal referral related to her bombshell claims that Obama-era officials “manufactured and politicized intelligence” to create the narrative that Russia was attempting to influence the 2016 presidential election, Fox News has confirmed.

The Department of Justice declined further comment, but confirmed to Fox News that the department received the referral.

Gabbard released unclassified documents Friday that reportedly show “overwhelming evidence” that then-President Barack Obama and his national security team laid the groundwork for what would be the years-long Trump-Russia collusion probe after Trump’s election win against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

And then.

And then the story reports:

“Their goal was to usurp President Trump and subvert the will of the American people” Gabbard had posted to X on Friday regarding the criminal referral. “No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The integrity of our democratic republic depends on it. We are turning over all documents to the DOJ for criminal referral.”

Other reports note Gabbard accuses Obama, ex-Obama CIA Director John Brennan, and ex-Obama FBI Director James Comey of orchestrating what Gabbard calls a “treasonous conspiracy” that would delegitimize Trump’s first election victory in 2016. The idea was to stigmatize Trump’s win as a result of collusion with the Russians and initiate a  “years-long coup” against the then-new President Trump.

Safe to say, Director Gabbard is nothing if not thorough in backing up her accusations. She has the goods — the goods, in this case, are the documents to back up her accusations in chapter and verse. And the Department of Justice is interested, according to these news reports.

Well beyond the prospective prosecutions of those involved that Gabbard promises — no small thing for sure — the obvious question is what to do about the larger issue of what can safely be called American “elites”? Elites are defined as Americans who view themselves as superior to their fellow Americans and use that sense of superiority to abuse their positions in running the government. Skirting, if not violating, the law outright, all based on the premise that they are smarter, better educated, and more deserving of their government positions than the American people for whom they are supposed to be running the government.

And this elitism isn’t just limited to those running the U.S. government. This sense of snooty superiority can and has infected all manner of quarters in America, among them the media, education, and even some areas in religion.

In fact, the rise of President Trump and what has been called the Trump “movement” is a direct response from average, working Americans who have sensed this elitist contempt coming their way for a considerable period of time.

And sensing this, these Americans responded emphatically by electing Trump.

The question now is how this issue will proceed as the country moves forward. Eventually, President Trump himself will leave office. And his potential Republican successors are out there. Whether Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, or others in the waiting GOP lineup, it would appear that whomever the GOP nominates in 2028 will be, as of now, a candidate who firmly grasps the issue of “Elites versus America.”

And, one suspects, whoever is seen as carrying that anti-elitist flag the highest in 2028 will be entering the White House in 2029.

Stay tuned.
