Memo to Republicans from President Trump? Forget the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax and move on.
Exactly.
To put it bluntly? Enough with Epstein! Enough! Enough! Enough!
That’s the message from President Trump to some of his supporters when it comes to the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax. And in this corner, I would say Bravo to the President.
The other day at a press scrum in the Oval Office, the President was quite specific, saying this when asked if he was following advice on the subject from his attorney general, Pam Bondi: “No, it’s not the Attorney General … No, I know it’s a hoax. It’s started by Democrats. It’s been run by the Democrats for four years.”
At that point, he had already written on the subject at his Truth Social website, saying there:
I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” Trump said. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!
It’s all been a big hoax, it’s perpetrated by the Democrats … And some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net. And so they try and do the Democrats’ work. The Democrats are good for nothing other than these hoaxes.
The President, as is his want, pulled no punches, adding: “The sad part is it’s people that are really doing the Democrats’ work. They’re stupid people.”
Not going easy on this, earlier, Trump had said this on Truth Social:
Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at — It’s all they have — They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates,” Trump said. He added, “Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bs,’(Small edit there!) hook, line, and sinker. They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.
He added bluntly:
I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” Trump said. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”
“I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody … I think, really, only pretty bad people, including fake news, wanna keep something like that going.”
Well, bravo, Mr. President. Bravo.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but what in the world are these Epstein-obsessed people thinking? The hard fact out there is that there is infinitely more going on in this world than the crazy shenanigans of a now-long deceased rich guy with all kinds of crazy going on in his life, with something along the way resulting in both jail time and death.
Let me give you an example — anecdotal that I know it to be.
The other day, I was in the local Giant grocery store in the middle of Pennsylvania. In the aisle I happened to be in, there were two women. They were together, and, jointly, they were taking various items off the nearest shelf, reading the price out loud and commenting over the prices, prices they clearly saw as low and acceptable, so into their cart went the items.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but I think it is safe to say they probably had no idea who Jeffrey Epstein was, and if they did, they couldn’t care less. What they cared about was the price of their groceries.
The fact is, as demonstrated by those two women in the local Giant, Americans are mainly concerned about the American economy. As is almost always the case. And thanks to President Trump, that economy is going along just swimmingly, thank you very much. Americans have jobs. The bad guys on the planet are relatively quiet. Vladimir Putin is in his corner. Peace and quiet fades in and, yes, sometimes out in the Middle East.
But to borrow from an old Broadway song from an old Broadway show about a golden era in long-ago British history:
Don’t let it be forgot
That once there was a spot
For one brief shining moment that was known
As Camelot.
It is more than safe to say, I think, that years from now Americans will look back wistfully at today’s times and realize that for one brief shining moment in today’s current world, there was a Golden Era known as the Age of Trump.
And the Americans lucky enough to be living in this age right now know it.
