I’m actually hopeful that things in America will ultimately get better, even though I seem to be mostly alone in that respect.

And sure, I’m by no means suggesting they’re getting better now, or soon. They aren’t. As I’ve written again and again, we are governed by people who suck, and people who suck make bad things happen.

Joe Biden is a doddering old crook who sold out his countrymen for a pile of filthy lucre. He took bribes from awful foreigners to steer American policy their way, and this has ultimately led to billions of dollars of your tax money pouring into an unwinnable conflict in Ukraine, which should have been resolved at the peace table months ago — and every day it isn’t resolved moves us a little closer to an open war with Russia over a country that is (1) a basket case of Third World corruption and (2) clearly within Russia’s sphere of influence other than the fact it serves as a money laundry for America’s corrupt ruling class.

And Biden isn’t really running the country. Everybody knows this. What we don’t know is exactly who is running America right now, but it’s not an awful guess that it’s Barack Obama behind the scenes busily pulling the strings. The research I did writing my forthcoming book Racism, Revenge, and Ruin, which is all about how Obama set America on fire and has danced around the flames for the better part of the last 15 years while the country has suffered, indicated to me that almost everything you see the Biden administration doing is a continuation, or more often a metastasization, of some horror that made its debut when Obama was president.

So we’ve got that. We’ve got a Democrat Party that is actively hostile to ordinary Americans and attempting to buffalo us into things we don’t want and won’t accept pretty much on the daily, and we’ve got a Republican Party which, at its highest levels, is run by some of the least creative, least energetic, and most compromised people ever to serve as leaders of an opposition. Mitch McConnell’s continuing tenure as the Senate GOP caucus leader even after he assumes a catatonic state, possum-like, at various times now when attempting to communicate with the public is a metaphor for America’s entire ruling class now — decadent, decrepit, unresponsive and useless.

So yeah. It’s all bad. This week’s Spectacle podcast episode — the regular one, not the absolutely fantastic interview with Louisiana Solicitor General Liz Murrill, which covered the ways Team Biden is butchering our First Amendment rights, that you definitely should watch — talks about all of the impending disasters built into Bidenomics, and specifically the fact that unsustainable inflation which has led to sky-high credit card debt with average interest rates, is now up above 20 percent.

What Bidenomics really is about is consolidating money and economic power in a very small number of hands, through regulation, taxes, woke culture, and its persecution of ordinary folks (it isn’t big corporations who get sued by activist lesbians or Black Lives Matter gangsters for various microaggressions; it’s small businesses), and other assaults. And inflation does that, too — the well-heeled and the economic incumbents can handle inflation. The startups and the mom-and-pops take it in the face.

They’re killing off the entrepreneurs and the economy is turning sclerotic. You’re getting Chinese communism, American-style, with a pseudo-private sector that isn’t free to do business as the market would have it.

And this is happening at the same time that China’s economy is beginning to plummet for all the usual reasons command economies usually do.

But there’s a common thread running through all of this, and it’s a hopeful thread.

What is it? These people suck.

Of course that’s a bad thing. But the silver lining is that people who suck can be beaten. You can’t suck forever without negative consequences of your suckage.

And there have been lots of signs that the American people are getting more and more irritated with The Great Suck. This is the reason Oliver Anthony has become such a phenomenon; his music directly calls out the people who suck.

And now the people who suck say we’ve got to put our COVID masks back on?

Masks don’t work, guys.

There was never any reason why masks had any benefit in stopping the spread of COVID, and this is widely known.

And yet the corrupt old man who’s as likely as not the father of COVID for spending our money in a Chinese military bioweapons lab doing gain-of-function research still can’t admit what we all know:

The amazing thing about that Anthony Fauci clip was that it was CNN where he was blindsided and made to look like a fool.

Do these people actually think they’re going to get the American people to put a mask on again?

We’re coming to a burn-it-down moment, and the strange thing about all of this is that it’s the folks in charge trying to burn it all down.

They suck, and one of the features/bugs of The Suck is they don’t have the faintest clue what the repercussions of it might be.

But here’s a way to find out.

They’ll find out.

And when it all breaks down, maybe then we can start rebuilding without the People Who Suck in charge.
