According to a Breitbart news report, the media is “exhausted” by the frenetic pace set by President Trump in his first week back in office.
They’re exhausted because they actually have to work. In the Biden era, they could have a nice Starbucks breakfast, walk leisurely into the office (at least those who don’t work from home) and riff off other reporters’ stories on Biden or Trump or whatever came across the computer screen. Their job was to add to the noise level, not report real news.
Our media — at least most of it — were the worst casualty of the election.
But now Trump is back and he’s charging forward. It’s hard to keep up with the action he’s generating in time to write about it.

Trump has done exceptionally well in his first week as president. He has, among other things:
- Quit the UN’s World Health Organization and the UN’s absurd Paris Accords on climate change;
- Ended the teaching of DEI in government and cancelled DEI instruction contracts, saving about $400 million;
- Ended U.S. funding of UNWRA, the UN organization for Palestinians which hires terrorists and enables Hamas to hide hostages in UN facilities;
- Declared a national emergency at the southern border and begun securing it. He’s already made illegal immigration vastly harder, ending the “catch and release” policy and re-instituting his “remain in Mexico” policy for asylum seekers. U.S. troops are being sent to the border to help secure it. Arrests of gang members has begun as well as deportation flights;
- Declared the drug cartels, the hyper-violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and the MS-13 gang “foreign terrorist organizations,” which carries severe sanctions on people who help them. ICE and Border Patrol have already begun rounding up the gang members;
- Ordered (or newly-confirmed Secretary of State Marco Rubio did) that no more BLM or LGBT flags will be flown over embassies and consulates or any U.S. facilities. Only the U.S. flag will be flown;
- Paused almost all foreign aid payments;
- Ended government censorship of social media;
- Revoked the security clearances of the 51 former intelligence officers who signed the Biden-created letter declaring that the Hunter Biden laptop from hell was Russian disinformation; and
- Declared a national energy emergency with the words, “drill, baby, drill.” Energy independence, which he had achieved and was thrown away by Biden, is on the way again. Trump promises to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve which Biden drained for the political purpose of artificially lowering the price of gas.
No wonder all those over-paid media stars are tired. They were used to covering up for the Biden regime and then reporting some negative story on Trump.
Their coverups for the Biden crew were legion, beginning with their failure to cover one of the biggest stories since Grant took Richmond: the fact that Biden’s mental health was failing almost from the beginning of his presidency in 2021. Biden’s people knew it and everyone in the media — except for those in the conservative media — ignored it.
It was only that Biden’s evident senility was revealed in his first debate with Trump that forced the press to cover the fact.
Think about Hunter Biden’s drug use and his influence-peddling schemes. Using the Biden name — “the Biden brand” according to some of the too few stories that reported on it — Hunter Biden peddled influence at least in Ukraine and China. He achieved a board membership in the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, for which he was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for nothing except access to his father.
In China, along with the recently-pardoned James Biden, Hunter and others of the Biden clan peddled their access to Old Joe, as was reflected in at least $3 million in payments to them from several Chinese companies. (Every Chinese company is run by the Chinese government.)
And then there was Hunter’s “laptop from hell.” The aforementioned 51 intelligence “leaders” who signed the letter — which was organized by the Biden campaign — was taken as gospel in the media. No one thought to ask questions about the laptop — the contents of which later were proven true — of the 51 signatories. All the media did was to pump up the letter on the eve of the 2020 election to ensure the results were affected. It might have done so.
The Covid fear, was spread eagerly by the media, which also sought to belittle evidence that the virus originated — intentionally or not — in the Chinese government’s virus lab. The CIA announced on Friday that the lab leak was the most likely source of the virus, contrary to the conclusion it reached earlier.
This column has no space to recount every slipshod bit of reporting the media did in trying to protect Biden. Moreover, the media is still doing its best to trash Trump and protect Biden.
Believe it or not, the headline on a Wednesday New York Times story read, “How Labeling Cartels ‘Terrorists’ Could Harm US Economy.” The media — at least the media elite — has learned nothing about their credibility from the election.
Our media — at least most of it — were the worst casualty of the election. No one who actually follows the facts can believe what they say in print and in their broadcasts.
It’s impossible to feel sorry for the media. The more stories, such as the Times story cited above, that they publish the more their credibility sinks.
Trump’s cancellation of Biden’s orders that tried to censor social media is a huge step in the right direction. His appointment of Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center to head up United States Agency for Global Media is another.
There really is no hope for those in the media who continue to deny the facts. They have learned nothing and will continue to bash Trump and protect Biden and the rest of the Democrat/Progressive establishment.
