Mark Levin gets it.
And, in his new bestseller out today, The Democrat Party Hates America, in typical Levin style he makes the case with solid facts and historical perspective. Unsurprisingly, it is already number one on Amazon.
What Mark has accomplished here is a one-of-a-kind in-depth analysis of the Democrat Party. From its addiction to authoritarianism to its fixation on racism to its ongoing “War on the Constitution” and so much more, Mark recounts the party’s history and, most importantly, its present. Among other decidedly salient points is this:
America is unraveling. Our founding and history are under assault. Our families and faiths are being degraded…. Color blindness is now racist. Capitalism and prosperity are being devoured by economic socialism and climate-change fanaticism. Classrooms have become indoctrination mills for racism, segregation, bigotry, and sexual perversion, and teachers unions are hostile to parental involvement in critical decisions about the health and welfare of their children.
Mark notes what has become all too frighteningly real: the need to “fundamentally transform America” — that was the urging of then–presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2008 — is seriously under way.
Not that most Americans are familiar with it, but the party has a truly dismal history. Mark describes that history exactly:
[This is] a party that is built on the demands and propaganda of revolutionaries, demagogues, and malcontents, and has a horrifying history of supporting the most contemptible causes, including slavery, segregation, the Ku Klux Klan, eugenics, and even lynching. Indeed almost from the start, the Democrat Party rejected the principles and values of the American experiment. And today it is the home of another anti-American movement, American Marxism, with its with its various ideological appendages. The Democrat Party ruling class, elites, and activists are united in this revolution.
Bingo.
What is important in this book is that Mark explains the history that millions of Americans are simply not aware of — and doubtless for a reason: Either it isn’t known, or people are afraid to stand up and say it out loud.
For example?
Racism. Woodrow Wilson is worshiped by progressive Democrats for his lefty policies in his eight years as the Democrat president from 1913 to 1921. But there is no understanding that as president of Princeton:
Wilson expressed his pride that no African-American students had been admitted during his tenure.
As mentioned, the party used the KKK as its military arm, and, once slavery was abolished — over the objection of Democrats in Congress — it used segregation to build the party’s political power. A practice that now uses identity politics — the son of segregation.
Eugenics. The pro-abortion party has a long history of believing in terminating unwelcome human life. Mark writes, again of Wilson:
What is eugenics? As current Princeton University professor Thomas C. Leonard writes, “Eugenics describes a movement to improve human heredity by the social control of human breeding, based on the assumption that differences in human intelligence, character and temperament are largely due to differences in heredity.” It was also fundamentally and inherently a horrific racist and bigoted justification for literally thinning out minority populations.
Mark adds that, as governor of New Jersey in 1911, Wilson signed into law:
a eugenics bill titled “An ACT to authorize and provide for the sterilization of feeble-minded (including idiots, imbeciles and morons), epileptics, rapists, certain criminals and other defectives,” which was later struck down by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
One great chapter is titled “Language Control & Thought Control.” For Americans and the country’s long history of the constitutional right to free speech, a decidedly dangerous turn in today’s America is exactly as Mark writes of in this chapter.
Mark notes the exchange had between Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Memorably, it went like this:
Blackburn: “Can you define the word ‘woman’”?
“Can I provide a definition?” Jackson responded.
“No, I can’t,” Jackson declared, before adding: “I’m not a biologist.”
Asks Mark of such obvious idiocy:
But what explains such nonsense?
After citing other, similar episodes, Mark reports:
Obviously, this authoritarian practice now widely exists in the United States, as the English language, science, knowledge, experience, and specific words are being redefined, banned, replaced, etc., to impose on the citizenry the beliefs, values, and thought processes of the American Marxists and the Democrat Party.
Exactly.
There is more here. Oh so such more. There are chapters on the wars by Democrats on “the American Citizen” and “the Nuclear Family,” and a decidedly relevant chapter titled “Stalin Would Be Proud.”
Mark reminds:
Lavrentiy Beria was Joseph Stalin’s longest-serving chief of Soviet security. In 1937 he gave a speech in which he declares: “Let our enemies know that any attempts to raise a hand against the will of our people — against the will of the party of Lenin and Stalin — will be mercilessly crushed and destroyed.”
Mark goes on with a decided truth too many are silent about:
The Democrat Party’s scorched earth, unscrupulous, and unconscionable political and criminal persecution of Donald Trump is totalitarian in every respect. Joseph Stalin and his henchman, Lavrentiy Beria, would be proud.
Indeed.
Make no mistake, The Democrat Party Hates America is a decided must read. As with all Mark Levin books — and there have been nine, bestsellers all — this book is a thorough, detailed, well-researched, and decidedly thoughtful examination of just where America stands in 2023. Not to mention how it got here — and who exactly got it here.
He closes with a warning from Supreme Court Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch in a:
concise Paul Revere-like warning — not that the British are coming, but that tyranny is here and while all is not lost, we are closer to losing our country than many may think.
Bingo again.
Americans are blessed in the midst of all this to have Mark Levin out there educating and warning and explaining what millions of Americans are seeing and experiencing for themselves. Between his bestselling books and his TV and radio shows, not only can we make sense of the dangers facing the country, but we can rally in the fight to defeat these internal enemies of the Constitution and of America itself.
So put this book on your must-read list, on your Christmas and birthday lists and any other list that calls for a gift.
There could not be a better gift that explains what Mark Levin quite correctly calls the Democrat Party’s “relentless pursuit of power and control.”
As he says:
If the Democrat Party succeeds, the American experiment will have failed.
Exactly.
