The government is like that pretty girl you just met on Tinder: She gets you excited, you make a date, she’s two hours late, and she apologizes by saying she was too busy with another man. You’ll be lucky if you don’t also have to point out to her that she forgot to button her blouse. I don’t know — you might not hold it against her, but you are unlikely to choose her as the mother of your children.

Kamala Harris has announced a law against Islamophobia amid a global wave of anti-Semitism, half instigated by the extreme Left and the Arab extremists. Following this same logic, I suppose the next thing will be a law against hatred of extreme leftists. Something that could land you in jail if, at one of those peaceful demonstrations where they smash windows and burn businesses, you happen to tweet that they could go do that inside their own damn houses.
If ever Islamophobia posed a danger in the West, I can assure you it is not today. When al-Qaida struck at the heart of the nation, I don’t recall any American randomly beating up Muslims. We have never in history been more tolerant of Islam, and it is perhaps the moment in history when we have the least reason to be.
Taking on hate is a national priority.
Today, @POTUS and I are announcing the country’s first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia.

At the end of the day, Arab adaptation to the West is proving to be the most dangerous failed experiment of our era; you only have to look at Europe, which is ahead in this respect, to see that they have no intention of assimilating to our culture. In their defense, we will say that Islam is not a religion that readily promotes, shall we say, coexistence with others. But that is a problem that Muslims should address, not us. And they don’t seem willing to do so.
Nevertheless, let me tell you something: There is no Islamophobia problem. In the West, the only problem we have is Christianophobia, driven by the extreme Left and Islamist radicals, and a problem of anti-Semitism, driven by exactly the same elements.
Kamala Harris says that the law will serve to audit and correct those government actions that may be offensive to Muslims. Interesting. There are over 250 million Christians in the United States, and the actions of the government offend us on a daily basis: abortion, anti-family laws, gender equality, LGBT propaganda in schools and public buildings, and the continued theft and waste of public funds via government taxes, to name just a few. Is no one going to audit this governmental anti-Christian action?
All said and done, I am not in favor of the government legislating based on hatred. Being a Christian and lazy, I never practice hatred; it’s so tiring. I limit myself to gradually distribute love between those who deserve it a lot, like Maria Sharapova, and those who deserve it less, like Joe Biden. Hate, dislike, antipathy, enmity are personal feelings, and I’m not sure the government is going to manage them any better than us individuals. In fact, I’m pretty sure they will manage it worse.
Kamala Harris, who has been missing since the day she was appointed vice president, now appears almost for the first time to announce a stupid bill, with unnecessary content, to solve a non-existent problem, at a completely inopportune time. It is impossible to find a more incompetent tandem than Biden–Harris.
However, with this course, the United States is embarking on a dangerous path toward ideological laws. The most pernicious are those that, like this one, seem irrelevant. There is no irrelevant law. The government acts like a small child with a hammer hitting things blindfolded. The first hammering on the couch might seem irrelevant, but it only anticipates the second hammering, on your cellphone screen, and the third, lethal, on your testicles. See? There is no such thing as irrelevant hammering.
This law is a message not to Muslims but to Islamists: “Friends, America is ready to join the same stupid and suicidal trend as Europe.” Unfortunately, it also sends a message to the Jews, right at the time when they feel most threatened: Don’t count on the U.S. government.
And, after all, the law will be futile. Harris forgets the bottom line: Phobias are cured at the psychiatrist, and hatred is cured at the church. And I’m afraid no one in the government goes to either.
