NextImg:Judge Targets Trump Free Speech — Again

To borrow from Ronald Reagan?

Well, there she goes again.

In another burst of anti-constitutional election interference, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has, yet again, instituted a gag order to try and silence presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump.

Newsmax reports:

Chutkan imposed the gag order at the Justice Department’s request. She temporarily lifted it on Oct. 20 after Trump’s lawyers appealed. She reversed that decision Sunday, according to the court’s docket.

Got that? The laughably misnamed (in the Biden era) Department of Justice is being run by what effectively are fascists. And putting a gag order on a candidate for president — or for that matter candidate for county commissioner — is exactly election interference. Over there at Trump’s Truth Social site is Trump’s response to this latest Establishment move to silence him. Says the former president:

I have just learned that the very Biased, Trump Hating Judge in D.C., who should have RECUSED herself due to her blatant and open loathing of your favorite President, ME, has reimposed a GAG ORDER which will put me at a disadvantage against my prosecutorial and political opponents. This order, according to many  legal scholars, is unthinkable! It illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls. Few can believe this is happening, but I will appeal. How can they tell the leading candidate that he, and only he, is seriously restricted from campaigning in a free and open manner? It will not stand!

Bingo.

The former president is exactly right when he says that what the judge has done:

illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls.

Indeed, over there at Newsmax is this headline that confirms exactly Trump’s lead. The headline:

McLaughlin Poll: Trump Has All But Won GOP Primary, Very Strong Against Biden

Not only is Trump leading his closest GOP primary opponents by as much as fifty points, Newsmax reports this from the McLaughlins:

Among all voters President Trump leads Joe Biden 48% to 43% with 9% undecided. Most interesting President Trump receives 27% of the African American vote and 39% among Hispanics. Joe Biden is losing a good portion of his 2020 voting base.

Some history here for those who may have come in late.

Way back there in the stone ages of the presidential elections of 1964, 1972, 1980, and 1984 the media was afloat in polls like this. And in every instance the candidates who were swamping their opponents in these polls did so in spades on election day. Those winners were Lyndon Johnson over Barry Goldwater in 1964, Richard Nixon over George McGovern, and Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter in 1980 and Walter Mondale in 1984.

Can polls be wrong? Not so much anymore. Famously the polls in 1948 were predicting with certainty that the GOP New York Gov. Thomas E. Dewey was going to clobber then-President Harry Truman, the Democrat. In a historic upset, Truman won. But the overlooked problem at the time was that the science of polling then was primitive, nowhere close to the sophisticated polling of today. Not to mention that the pollsters of the day were so confident — make that overconfident — that they thought it was useless to keep polling so weeks before the election they stopped. Big mistake?

And yes, in 2016, the New York Times was predicting election morning that Hillary Clinton had an 85 percent chance of defeating Trump. Um … wrong. Again, the Establishment media was so convinced of their candidate’s superiority that they paid absolutely no attention to Trump’s rising strengths. So the Times went with its bias — and got it wrong.

Shocking!

Not!

But polls or no polls, the serious — very serious — problem Americans are facing in this latest instance are a rogue Biden Department of Justice (in the person of special counsel Jack Smith) and rogue Judge Tanya Chutkan — both of whom are deliberately and willfully erasing the constitutional right of free speech to which the former president and all other Americans, no matter their status, are entitled.

Not to mention that this latest gag order, like its predecessors, is decidedly election interference.

If, in fact, Donald Trump emerges as president-elect on Election Night 2024, the moment he takes office, prosecutor “Fascist Jack” Smith should be fired — and prosecuted — post haste. And impeachment proceedings against Chutkan should begin immediately.

Thus making the seriously underlined point that this kind of government corruption and abuse must never, ever, be tolerated again.

Ever.
