NextImg:Joe Biden Finally Acknowledges Seventh Grandchild

It has been four years since President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, had a child with stripper and influencer Lunden Roberts. The president has been notoriously quiet on his seventh grandchild, Navy Joan Roberts, tacitly denying her existence for years. In a recent statement provided to People magazine, however, Biden has finally publicly acknowledged young Navy Joan as his granddaughter.

“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” the statement reads. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”

In 2019, Roberts sued Hunter Biden and requested a DNA sample to establish him as the father. Since then, Hunter has paid an unknown amount in child support in addition to establishing a college fund. Hunter also admits to the interaction with Roberts in his 2021 memoir, where he confesses to having no memory of the encounter due to his cocaine and alcohol addictions.

The president added in the same statement that he was committed to his family and their privacy: “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interest of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.”

Biden’s public naming of his granddaughter comes soon after his son’s plea agreement fell apart. The sweetheart deal, which had Hunter pleading guilty to avoiding paying $1.2 million in taxes and entering a pre-trial diversion for gun charges, was rejected by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika. Such developments open up the possibility of more investigations into Hunter’s business dealings and other activities.
