The American Spectator’s founder, R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr., joined the Bill Martinez Show to discuss his latest book, How Do We Get Out of Here?: Half a Century of Laughter and Mayhem at The American Spectator―From Bobby Kennedy to Donald J. Trump, which is now available for purchase.

Tyrrell’s work chronicles the birth and life of the magazine he started in 1967 in Bloomfield, Indiana, in his signature witty and irreverent style. The book is full of stories, from his backstage encounter with Robert F. Kennedy to the publication’s coverage of seven presidents (six American, one Russian) and its exposé of the Clintons.

“Frankly, I’ve had a wonderful time,” Tyrrell tells Martinez.
