Today is the two-year anniversary of the October 7, 2023 slaughter of Israeli innocents which brought on the current war over the Gaza Strip that President Trump is earnestly attempting to end through negotiation, as opposed to his Israeli counterpart Bibi Netanyahu’s attempts to end it by flattening every building left standing in Gaza City in an effort to annihilate what Hamas fighters remain there and to finally rescue what hostages remain. And while Trump waits on Hamas to accept the very generous offer that has been put on the table — which allows them to lay down their weapons and walk away from the atrocities they’ve committed, and the only real cost to peace for them is that they won’t be allowed to govern Gaza anymore — the Islamist terror army’s sycophants here in the U.S. have this planned…
Are you ready for the anniversary of 10/7 in America? The Jihadists are celebrating Hamas by “protesting” at Israeli consulates. pic.twitter.com/Yg1WZRQ0f8

It seems impossible that on the two-year anniversary of the outright murder of more than 1,000 noncombatants — women and children in huge numbers, including hundreds of kids at a music festival — there would be Americans (and others living in America) who would see it as appropriate to agitate on Hamas’s behalf. (RELATED: Israel Faces Increasing International Isolation Amid European Delusion)
This is literally a celebration of bloody murder at a time when peace is on the table.
This is literally a celebration of bloody murder at a time when peace is on the table. You would think such an affront would be beyond the pale if for no reason other than the optics of demonstrating at Israeli consulates on that country’s 9/11 are so toxic.
And you’d be wrong.
You’d be wrong because you have a hard time believing that people you share oxygen with could be so utterly divorced from your concept of propriety or even basic wisdom.
Even if you think it’s cool to stick it to the Jews whenever you can, after all, you’d think October 7 is a good day to lay low. If for no other reason than that this is a good way to get beaten to a pulp — at least, if these people you hate so much really are the monsters you say they are.
They aren’t, of course, and the likelihood these provocations won’t be answered by counterprotesters pouring onto the streets for a good dust-up is therefore very low.
Which should tell you a lot about who the good guys are.
The people who aren’t the good guys in our current human formula seem to have something in common. You see it absolutely everywhere you look, and the pro-Hamas crowd both here and along the shores of the eastern Med are exceptionally good examples of it.
Victimhood culture.
They’re all begging to achieve victimhood status and the utter lack of accountability that confers.
The pro-Hamas crowd is distinguishable from Antifa, for example, only by the flags they bring to their “mostly peaceful” protests. Otherwise, they’re indistinguishable.
The tactics are based on the old concept of “non-violent resistance,” the Civil Rights movement adopted from followers of Gandhi in India during the movement for independence, but they’re a perversion of those methods. The Antifa/Hamas/anti-ICE protesters aren’t non-violent. They’re there to provoke violence. (RELATED: America’s New Theology of Violence)
Spit on an ICE agent, as one Antifa protester was on video doing over the weekend, and get roughly arrested, and now you’re a victim of ICE brutality. It doesn’t matter that you’ve done everything you could to provoke a bad optics reaction from those you’re spitting on.
These people fetishize victimhood. They run from a fair fight. There is no honor in anything they do — in fact, they assail the concept of honor as a tool and relic of the patriarchy.
And this isn’t the sole province of the demonstrators. It moves well up the chain.
Consider this man, Jay Jones, who is running under the banner of a certain political party, which has entrenched victimhood status as its version of nirvana for attorney general in Virginia. In 2022, as a state legislator, Jones committed one of the most egregious offenses against decency imaginable when, as David Catron noted on Monday…
For anyone unfamiliar with this creepy story, which was first reported by National Review, it involves a series of deranged texts sent by Jones to a Republican lawmaker in August of 2022. He was somehow triggered by kind words spoken about a recently deceased Democrat colleague by Republican Todd Gilbert, then-Speaker of Virginia’s House of Delegates, and other Republicans. Jones’ perverse reaction was to send a barrage of increasingly alarming texts to Republican Delegate Carrie Coyner in which he speculates about assassinating Gilbert and goes on to fantasize about desecrating his grave.
Jones reportedly continued the crazy by calling Coyner to explain that he was simply “saying the only way public policy changes is when policymakers feel pain themselves, like the pain that parents feel when they watch their children die from gun violence. He asked her to provide counterexamples to disprove his claim.” By way of illustrating his point he “suggested he wished Gilbert’s wife could watch her own child die in her arms so that Gilbert might reconsider his political views, prompting Coyner to hang up the phone in disgust.”
That Jones is a creep and a cretin is beyond dispute, as is his clear lack of fitness for any position of power over his fellow man, much less a position as a state’s top law enforcement official. (RELATED: Yes, Virginia, Jay Jones Is Evil)
And yet Virginia Democrats’ initial reaction was to dismiss the scandal. At least until the overnight polling numbers came in.
Jones is in the process of losing an election, so there is at least a fig leaf of propriety attached to the actions of the people surrounding him. At the top of the ticket on which he’s running, an especially unattractive individual named Abigail Spanberger is on video exhorting supporters to “let your rage fuel you,” which is a chilling thing to hear a candidate for high office say in public.
Fuel you to do what? Vote even harder?
These aren’t people motivated to serve their fellow man. They’re people who want power over their fellow man. Sane and balanced humans learn to process rage and put it aside for their own health and that of the relationships they cherish. When someone who seeks your political support demands the use of your rage, it’s an open announcement that you are a thing to be exploited.
That you are a victim to be monetized. And that you’re within your bounds to share in that monetization.
We can see what happens when the risk of losing an election is stripped away. We see it in Chicago, where that city’s mayor Brandon Johnson is openly demanding civil war — doing it, of course, under the thin guise of accusing his enemies of opening hostilities…
????HOLY SHIT!! Mayor Brandon Johnson claims that the “Right-Wing” of this country wants a REMATCH of the CIVIL WAR..
“The right wing of this country wants a REMATCH of the Civil War. The President has declared war against the people of Chicago!” pic.twitter.com/u2GPAVCNST

President Trump hasn’t declared war on the people of Chicago. He’s sending help to the federal law enforcement agents being routinely attacked by Brandon Johnson’s allies. (RELATED: Democrats Reject Law and Order)
It’s not like Johnson can credibly claim to represent Chicagoans in this controversy. Not with an approval rating in the teens. And given that the controversy is over ICE removing illegal aliens, the majority of whom are criminals, from that city, the mayor’s rhetoric seems more ridiculous than threatening. (RELATED: Meet the Criminals Anti-ICE Protesters Are Fighting to Shield)
But he’s playing the same game as the “nonviolent” rioters in the streets, you see. This is about attempting to provoke a reaction.
This is about attempting to bully Trump. If that civil-war rhetoric is met with conciliatory language by Trump or anyone in the administration, Johnson will claim a win. If it’s met with combativeness, Johnson will claim victimhood and thus claim a win.
This is highly problematic. Victimhood culture is the death of civilization, because where it leads is an abandonment of sympathy and, to follow, humanity.
You see it in Gaza, you’re seeing it on the streets of Europe, and, if the Brandon Johnsons and Jay Joneses of the world get their way, you will see it explode here in America.
There is no clean way to put this to bed. So far, there have not been efforts to put it to bed as a result, and while that’s understandable, we saw a preview of what comes next with Charlie Kirk’s murder in Utah.
We desperately want peace. We want a revival. We want good to triumph. But evil has a vote, and it’s voting.
At the very minimum, we should call it by its name.
