The below account details atrocities committed by Hamas on Oct. 7 in Israel.
The Israeli Consulate in Manhattan recently arranged a highly disturbing but equally important briefing for about 20 journalists. Israel’s diplomats in Gotham presented 40 minutes of raw video that documented Hamas’ appalling atrocities during their unprovoked, surprise attack on the Jewish state last Oct. 7. This was the first presentation of these images outside Israel.
A wide variety of devices captured this carnage. Hamas killers’ GoPro cameras recorded terrorist-eye views of that day’s bloodshed. Home-security, traffic-circle, and closed-circuit cameras caught the mayhem as it unfolded. Hamas’ social media posts showcased their deadly handiwork. The Israel Defense Forces also seized video proof of this handiwork from dead Hamas barbarians. Their cellphones and body cameras spoke volumes.

“It’s important to remember what happened,” said Gilad Erdan, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, as he introduced this video. “Massacre denial is like the modern Holocaust denial. This will help people truly understand our enemy: Hamas is a genocidal terror organization committed to the destruction of the state of Israel.”
These scenes begin at dawn. With the sun just over the horizon, Hamas terrorists in civilian pickup trucks crash through the border fence and speed toward their targets. They are exhilarated, as if heading to the beach for spring break. “Allahu akbar!” they cheer. Let’s kill some Jews!
The Hamas murderers soon encounter Israelis driving along a highway, minding their own business. Hamas gunmen leap from their trucks and start shooting unarmed motorists. Without warning, these drivers suddenly feel their cars riddled with bullets. As they perish, they release their steering wheels. Their cars roll off the road.
A dash camera shows the view from inside one vehicle. As the Israeli driver cruises along, a Hamas terrorist steps into the street and opens fire. The windshield cracks, pierced by bullets. With its driver mortally wounded, the sedan veers off the highway and into a ditch.

These beasts then approach a kibbutz. A black dog responds. But this is no lunging Doberman or snarling Rottweiler. Instead, an apparent Labrador ambles forward. Its gentle demeanor suggests that it misconstrues the men of Hamas for new friends, perhaps dropping by for breakfast and then a game of fetch, with fresh tennis balls.
No such luck.
A Hamas ghoul lifts his rifle and gratuitously wastes the poor pup with three or four tugs of his trigger.
The Hamas killers are just warming up.
Next, they hunt humans.
This was 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday — both Shabbat and Simchat Torah, a holiday that honors Jewish scripture. Hamas’ prey are not uniformed soldiers on a military base — poised, ready, and equipped with Uzis. That might be a fair fight. These are unarmed non-combatants, fast asleep or crawling from bed.
The assassins try to break into modest single-family homes. When they cannot breach them, they shoot into them and set others ablaze.
In Kibbutz Netiv HaAsara, just 700 feet from Gaza, Hamas happens upon a father and his three young sons, freshly rousted from their slumber. They are armed with nothing but their underwear. They scramble from their back door into an adjacent anti-rocket shelter.
A Hamas terrorist lobs a grenade into the partially open structure. The blast kills the father and one son. Two survive, one partially blinded.
The savage forces the brothers into the house, where they tremble in terror on a sofa. In Hebrew, one tells the other, “Itay, I think we’re going to die.”
These two little boys are either dead or kidnapped in Gaza.

Scenes of mass death unfold, one atop the next:
- Hamas thugs fling the corpse of an Israeli soldier on the ground. They triumphantly stomp on, dance around, and blissfully shout over him — what else? — “Allahu akbar!”
- Israelis hoping to ride public transit instead lie face down at a bus stop, lifeless and laden with Hamas ammunition.
- Revelers at the Supernova Sukkot Gathering in Re-im dance to psychedelic trance music during an overnight rave. Hamas monsters fly in via paragliders and open fire. They mow down some 270 music fans, many shot in their backs as they flee. Their cadavers cover the ground, piled atop each other. One Hamas shooter methodically fires into the portable toilets, to slay those who might be relieving themselves or hiding behind their plastic doors.
- Hamas guns down drivers as they try to escape this onslaught. After they kill these Israelis, the terrorists pry them out, hurl their bodies onto the asphalt like sacks of rice, and speed off in their cars. Hamas sets motorists’ corpses alight. Several smolder atop the pavement.
- One shocking sequence shows a woman lying on her back, burned. Her legs are spread apart. These vermin raped, killed, and ignited her.
- Also ghastly is what Erdan described at the United Nations: “In the video, one can see a terribly injured civilian — bloodied, yet alive. The man on the ground is an agricultural worker from Thailand. He is not Israeli. He is not Jewish. He was merely alive, trying to make a living for his family.” The Hamas monsters squabble among themselves for the “honor” of killing the Thai laborer. Erdan added, “He was decapitated with a blunt gardening tool.”
- Later reports from first responder Asher Moskowitz and others indicate that Hamas baked Israeli babies in their parents’ ovens. Jews in ovens? How 1940s.
- “Trying to identify the Israelis who were savagely murdered, dismembered, blown up, and burned by Hamas terrorists on October 7 is proving so difficult that archaeologists have been summoned to help,” the New York Post’s Michael Goodwin reported. He cited the Israel Antiquities Authority: “The archaeological methods employed at ancient sites are similar to the methods applied here.”
- Hamas displayed ISIS flags as this depravity unfurls. These banners confirm the words of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Hamas is ISIS.”
As revolting as these scenes are, the most repulsive is invisible.
An audio recording features a Hamas terrorist named Mahmoud. After massacring several kibbutzim, he uses one victim’s phone to ring home and update his parents on how his day is going.
“Hi, Dad!” Mahmoud exclaims. “I’m talking to you from Mefalsim,” a kibbutz near Gaza.
“I’m talking to you from a Jewish woman’s phone,” Mahmoud continues. “I killed her, and I killed her husband. I killed 10 with my own hands. Dad, 10 — with my own hands!”
He sounds as if he won a $100 million Powerball jackpot.
After bragging to his father, Mahmoud wants to crow to his mother.
“Put Mom on,” Mahmoud insists.
“I am in Mefalsim,” he tells his mother. “I was the first [to enter] under the help and protection of Allah.”
“Come back. Come back,” says Mahmoud’s brother, after hopping on the line.
“What do you mean come back? There is no going back. It’s either death or victory.”
“Mom, your son is a hero,” Mahmoud boasts. “Kill! Kill! Kill!”
All told, Oct. 7 was the Jews’ deadliest day since the Einsatzgruppen era.

Video evidence of this slaughter deserves, indeed demands, a much wider audience. Concealing this footage and these photographs has become dangerous, as pro-Hamas sentiments grow, and 1930s-style anti-Semitism rears its hideous head.
Blurring these images on TV obscures vital truths. If it is so wise to conceal from citizens important pictures they should see, to make sound policy judgments, why not fade TV newscasts to black and transform them into radio bulletins?
Israel and its supporters should run 30- and 60-second TV and digital ads with these graphic images. This 40-minute video should be posted on a dedicated website. Israel should remind the world that it never asked for this. Hamas started this. And now, Israel must finish this.
Israel has every right, nay, an obligation to locate and exterminate every Hamas member until that bloodthirsty, Iranian-backed Islamofascist terror group enters the history books, hard by the Nazi Party and the Khmer Rouge.
Israel needs far more public diplomacy in this area. But it has made a start, as the Manhattan consulate’s press screening proves.
In another highly graphic example of what it should amplify, Erdan told the UN last month: “My mission distributed and will continue to distribute QR codes with direct links to files where you can see this horror and many other Hamas atrocities. What you see here are not pictures from Auschwitz, but Israelis raped, butchered, and burned alive. This is not Auschwitz. This is Hamas.”
