


“I am a political dissident,” former President Donald Trump told listeners at CPAC last Saturday in a striking speech.
This week, Sebastian Gorka, host of the America First podcast, and American Spectator editor Paul Kengor talk about the significance of Trump’s statement and its implications for his indictment.
They discuss the plethora of allegations that have been leveled against the former president and ruminate on his use of terms like “political dissident” and “captive nation,” which hearken back to the Cold War. As they point out, there are a significant number of similarities between Trump and Ronald Reagan — both in the way they dealt with the Left and in the way the media has attacked them.
