Glamour UK introduced its June issue cover star, Logan Brown, as “living proof” that pregnant “trans men” exist.

According to Glamour, Brown, a 27-year-old residential children’s support worker, “unexpectedly became pregnant” with partner of two years Bailey Mills, who identifies as a “non-binary drag performer.” The couple’s daughter, Nova, was born in May of 2023.

Brown told Glamour contributor Chloe Laws that she became pregnant after she temporarily stopped taking testosterone for “health issues,” which allowed her period to come back.

After a pregnancy test came back positive, Brown felt that her “whole world just stopped,” that “all [her] manlihood” had been “erased.”

 On her blog Up the Duff Man, Brown writes that her transition process was marked by “chaos” and confusion. She wanted to “normalise” being pregnant as a self-identified transgender male.

“I always struggled with fitting in or understanding who I was growing up,” Brown notes. “Being born female, coming out as a lesbian, transitioning to male, fancying boys, being in a queer relationship, falling pregnant, throwing up and pissing my pants every time I cough feels pretty f***ing mad!”

Despite her concerns about people’s reactions, Brown writes that she felt relieved when she and her partner posted on social media that they were pregnant.

“Honestly, it was like a massive stress off our shoulders and … in that moment we could just BREATHE,” Brown notes.

Brown started making TikTok videos about her experience. However, after receiving comments like “[m]en don’t get pregnant,” she realized she just wanted to “normalise” the situation.

“I am not taking away women’s rights… It is simply that I am a man, I transitioned, this is who I was supposed to be and [I] accidentally fell pregnant,” Brown writes.
