NextImg:Conservatives Turning the Tide … With Liberal Help

Last week was the best one for conservatives around the world since Trump’s 2016 election. This was not despite the second worst mass murder of the century perpetuated by an inhuman force, but indirectly because of it. For just as the transgender fantasy exposed liberal lunacy (at the cost to countless children and young women), the naked display of Jew hatred in this country and abroad will help turn the tide to a saner, morally clearer West.

Something else will also affect the election and badly for liberals — a hideous young face to an old evil.

Yet even before the virulent antisemitism reared its ugly head, the conservative tide was rising internationally. Joe Biden and his ilk managed to reduce it here in 2022, with considerable help from inept Republicans, by demonizing patriots as Nazi sympathizers, while suspending college debt for actual Nazi sympathizers — the superfluity of university students. Only in Florida did Governor Ron DeSantis defy the fearmongering statist media to turn the purple state crimson that year. Last week, more conservatives globally recreated his victory. (READ MORE from Lou Aguilar: Feminist Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown)

Few nations proved more pathetic during and post-Covid hysteria than New Zealand. And it had the perfect freedom-quashing leader to manage it — Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Ardern implemented tyrannical lockdowns that literally petrified the country. Drunk on power, she followed this with a climate-alarmist tax on farmers for the methane emissions of their cows and sheep which they dubbed the “fart tax.” One of her last major speeches as Prime Minister called for the global censorship of critical free speech as disinformation.

Perhaps sensing the anti-liberal tremors she increased, Ardern resigned in January. She may have recalled the famous words of King Louis XV, the last French monarch to complete his rule before the French Revolution, “Après moi, le déluge” —  “After me, the flood.” The deluge came on Saturday, washing away Ardern’s Labor Party along with her successor, Chris Hipkins.

The rightist National Party led by former businessman Christopher Luxon trounced the progressives. Even the mainstream press correctly assessed the significance and shock. “New Zealand votes out Jacinda Ardern’s Labour Party in ‘bloodbath’ election,” declared the Daily Mail website. “New Zealand elects its most conservative government in decades,” stated The Japan Times headline. Expect much liberal wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Across the Tasman Sea, the bigger ex-British colony, Australia, delivered its own liberal setback. A referendum to constitutionally recognize indigenous people and form a governmental body to advise on policies affecting them went down in flames, despite lib Prime Minister Anthony Albanese support. “This moment of disagreement does not define us,” Albanese said. “We are not yes voters or no voters. We are all Australians.” But those Australians didn’t vote just “No” but “Hell, no!” to kill the divisive racist measure. Only the nation’s capital, Canberra, voted “yes” from out of eight states and territories. (READ MORE: Judgment Day in America)

Another leftist defeat just occurred in this country, with Republicans flipping the Louisiana governorship from Democrat to Republican. Former governor John Bel Edwards had been a progressive nightmare, even vetoing the state legislature’s ban on child mutilation, or as Bel Edwards and his ilk call it, “youth gender-affirming care.” Fortunately, the GOP-controlled legislature overrode his veto. Like New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern, Bel Edwards left his Democratic successor, Shawn Wilson, politically wounded. And on Sunday, conservative Attorney General Jeff Landry delivered the coup de grâce with a decisive win ahead of 2024.

Something else will also affect the election and badly for liberals — a hideous young face to an old evil. In the wake of the satanic slaughter of more than 1,400 Israeli civilians by Hamas, and atrocities beyond terrorist, tens of thousands of American students are voicing their support for the culpable monsters. A letter from 33 Harvard University student groups blamed Israel for the horror. The letter managed to do the long impossible — divide and cripple the left.

The students have exposed an immorality and ignorance that most of the populace had no idea about, but now all can see, deplore, and punish. Immorality because they can fault innocent victims for their torment and death. Ignorance because the groups they promote — gays, trans, and women — would be the first to suffer under the savages they champion. And also because they know little about the history of modern Israel, and nothing about its biblical importance.

A new Rasmussen poll shows the overwhelming majority strongly support Israel, with 66 percent supporting the “complete eradication” of Hamas in the Gaza strip. Consequently, even liberal alumni, faculty, and woke corporations have put the fear in these students — not of God but of career derailment. The New York University student bar president losing a prestigious job offer for her Israel condemnation caused many of them to promptly disavow their pro-Palestinian support. “Letter? What letter?” they seemed to say. (READ MORE: The Barbarians Within the Ivy League Gates)

Conservative radio star Megyn Kelly blasted the students most eloquently in an X post. “If they are not ‘persuaded’ that murdering babies is wrong, there is no ‘persuading’ them. We don’t hire those who applaud the killers while the savagery is underway. If you are open to hiring one of these lunatics, tho, good to know!”

If the trends and truth are any indication, liberal saps will lose more than their jobs next year. They’ll lose their political power, along with the toxic party that sustains them.
