


Anti-Semitic incidents have increased nearly 400 percent since the Hamas attack on Israeli citizens, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The ADL reports that the incidents have included assault, vandalism, and harassment.
Across the world, massive anti-Israel protests, including protests and incidents that have taken place on college campuses across the United States, have made headlines. (READ MORE: Anatomy of a College Brainwashing: How UCI Makes Students Empathize with Hamas and Hate Israel)
In response, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing Wednesday to discuss free speech on college campuses and the rise in anti-Semitism.
Throughout the hearing, anti-Israel protesters continually interrupted powerful testimonies.
Cornell student Amanda Silberstein was interrupted while detailing how anti-Semitism, from both professors and fellow students, has impacted her. A Cornell professor called the Hamas attacks on Jews “energizing,” “exhilarating,” and justified as part of “ resistance.” Meanwhile, Silberstein and her peers faced the threat of another student, who posted a call to rape and murder Jews on campus.

The chairman of the Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, Kenneth Marcus, was also among those who testified about the increase in reports of anti-Semitism from Jewish students. He pointed out that on many college campuses, the immediate reaction to Hamas’ massacre was to celebrate and justify it as part of “resistance.”

A month into the war, it seems many have forgotten about the atrocities committed by Hamas and the estimated 240 hostages they still hold.
