American Spectator editor Paul Kengor appeared on the Drew Mariani Show Thursday. Up for discussion were two articles published in the American Spectator on how drag queens have become a weapon in the culture war.

In “On Drag Queens and the Methodist Breakup,” Tom Raabe explores how drag queens are at the forefront of disagreements in the United Methodist Church. For instance, last year, one United Methodist drag queen declared “God is nothing.” The church is in the processes of splitting over disagreements about marriage.

Kengor also discussed Mary Frances Myler’s article “My Religion Is Not Your Costume,” which discussed the controversy surrounding the Dodgers’ re-invitation of a group of drag queens whose mission is to attack the Catholic Church.

Myler argued that the episode “shows the true colors of both the LGBTQ movement and our cultural elites: the Dodgers will unabashedly honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence because modern culture has replaced God with the idol of the self and sexuality.”
