NextImg:‘You Can Go Straight to Hell!’: JD Vance Scorches Democrats For Encouraging Political Violence

During a speech in Concord, North Carolina Wednesday, Vice President J.D. Vance scorched Democrats for their increasingly unhinged rhetoric, saying they “can go straight to Hell” if they have encouraged political violence against law enforcement.

Vance was in the Charlotte area to discuss public safety and support for law enforcement amid an effort in the state’s legislature to tighten criminal laws.

A left-wing gunman attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, earlier Wednesday, hitting three detainees, with two confirmed dead and one taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.  The suspect, identified as Joshua Jahn, 29, was perched on a nearby roof, armed with a rifle, when he fired into an unmarked ICE van transporting detainees.  Jahn died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at the scene.  The message “anti-ICE” was scrawled on a stripper clip of ammo that was found near his  body.

Jahn’s profile picture from his now deleted Facebook page depicts an armed communist with the hammer and sickle, with the text reading “GLORIOUS EXPOSITION, COMRADE.”

The suspect, a registered Democrat, was previously convicted in 2015 for selling Marijuana. His sister has reportedly been arrested multiple times. His mother is a left-wing activist who posted anti-gun rants on social media directed toward Republican office holders in Texas.

The vice president told the crowd that there is additional evidence, not yet released, pointing to the suspect being  a “violent left-wing extremist.”

Vance said the suspect was politically motivated to go after law enforcement and after the people “enforcing our border.”

“It is time to stop the rhetorical assault on law enforcement,” he declared, before calling out California Governor Gavin Newsom by name.

“Here’s what happens, when Democrats like Gavin Newsom did, say that these people are part of an authoritarian government, when the left-wing media lies about what they’re doing, when they lie about who they are arresting, when they lie about the actual job of law enforcement, what they’re doing is encouraging crazy people to go and commit violence.”

He added: “You don’t have to agree with my immigration policies, you don’t have to agree with Donald Trump’s immigration policies. But if your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can go straight to Hell and you have no place in the political conversation in the United States of America!”

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) earlier this week signed legislation banning the use of face coverings by ICE agents and local law enforcement agents, opening them up to being doxed, threatened, and harassed.

The Trump administration has made clear that it will not be complying with California’s mask ban, calling it unconstitutional.

During an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s late night show Tuesday, Newsom described the Trump administration’s deportation effort as “authoritarian.”

“That’s happening in the United States of America, Newsom fumed. “Masked men jumping out of unmarked cars, people disappearing, no due process, no oversight, zero accountability!”

“If you want to stop political violence, stop attacking our law enforcement as the Gestapo,” Vance told his audience in South Carolina. “If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with you is a Nazi. If you want to stop political violence, look in the mirror. That’s the way that we stop political violence in this country.”

Vance argued that the political violence in the past few years has overwhelmingly come from the left.

“It is not a both sides problem. It is primarily on one side of the political aisle,” he asserted. “So, if we are going to truly go after the political violence in this country, we need the Democratic leadership of Washington DC to look in the mirror. We need them to renounce all political violence.”

The vice president slammed Democrats over their appalling response to the political assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk just two weeks ago.

“We need them to start with condemning the violence instead of something that Charlie said that they didn’t agree with,” he said.

“When you have an entire network of leftwing organizations encourage promote and apologize for violence, you know what you’re going to get out of it? You’re going to get more political violence,” the vice president added.

Vance said the Trump administration is now working to dismantle the domestic terror networks that promote political violence.
