U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said that it’s irresponsible for Sec. of State Antony Blinken to declare that Ukraine will become a NATO member.

“This is completely irresponsible,” Vance posted on X. “Ukraine should not join NATO, and to invite them during a war is to invite our nation into war.”

Vance was responding to a video of Blinken, posted by William Wolfe, in which Blinken declared confidently that Ukraine will become a NATO member.

Blinken’s comments come as U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson pushes for a vote for additional U.S. taxpayer funding for the “Ukraine war.”

American Greatness reported yesterday that U.S. Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.) said it’s “absurd” that the U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson is considering sending more money to Ukraine, and said funding should e replaced with an effort to hold peace talks.

U.S. Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.)  told Meet the Press this week that Johnson “might risk losing the speakership” over the push to provide more funding to Ukraine.

And Johnson’s support for Ukraine funding even prompted Tucker Carlson to ask if Johnson has been “blackmailed”…

The push for more U.S. taxpayer funding of Ukraine comes days after Ukraine decided to cancel its elections.
