On Tuesday, the Utah prosecutor’s office released text messages between Robinson and his trans/furry boyfriend Lance “Luna” Twiggs from the day of the Charlie Kirk assassination.

According to court filings, Robinson texted Twiggs following the murder to say: “drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard.” Twiggs looked under the keyboard and found a handwritten note that stated, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”

The texts show Twiggs responding “you weren’t the one who did it, right????” and Robinson texting back, “I am, I’m sorry.” Later on in the exchange, Robinson talks about recovering his rifle and notes that police had mistakenly detained “a crazy old dude” and someone else in similar clothing.

Robinson justified the shooting as retaliation against Kirk’s “hatred,” saying “some hate can’t be negotiated out.” He told Twiggs to delete their messages.

Conservatives online have cast doubt on the authenticity of the messages, theorizing they were purposefully scripted by collaborators to create a written record absolving Twiggs.

During a Senate Oversight hearing Tuesday, Patel revealed that over 20 people are currently being investigated in connection to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, including members of Tyler Robinson’s DISCORD server.
