Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R.) announced Tuesday that he has launched undercover operations into various left-wing terror cells in the state in response to rising political violence, most notably, the political assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk.

As part of the effort, the attorney general said undercover agents will be infiltrating identified “leftist terror cells” like Antifa.

“Leftist political terrorism is a clear and present danger. Corrupted ideologies like transgenderism and Antifa are a cancer on our culture and have unleashed their deranged and drugged-up foot soldiers on the American people,” Paxton said in a statement.

“The martyrdom of Charlie Kirk marks a turning point in America. There can be no compromise with those who want us dead. To that end, I have directed my office to continue its efforts to identify, investigate, and infiltrate these leftist terror cells. To those demented souls who seek to kill, steal, and destroy our country, know this: you cannot hide, you cannot escape, and justice is coming.”

President Donald Trump issued an Executive Order on September 22 officially designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and instructed his administration to “utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations—especially those involving terrorist actions—conducted by Antifa.”

Paxton said he would build on Trump’s directive by instructing his office “to initiate sweeping investigations into radical leftist organizations engaged in or providing support to those performing political violence.”

In the past few months, Texas has weathered several left-wing terrorist attacks targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.

An attack on an ICE facility in Dallas on September 24, left three detainees shot, with one confirmed dead and two injured.  A sniper on a nearby roof, armed with a rifle, had fired into an unmarked ICE van transporting detainees, Fox 4 Dallas reported.

On July 15, an ICE officer in Dallas, Texas,  sustained serious injuries after being dragged behind an illegal alien’s vehicle for more than a block.

And on the 4th of July, nearly two dozen heavily armed antifa agitators from the Dallas-Fort Worth ambushed an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, setting off fireworks to lure police to the scene and shooting a responding officer in the neck.

Following the September 24 incident,  acting Dallas ICE Field Office Director Joshua Johnson said during a press conference that the left’s anti-ICE rhetoric “has to stop.”

“There are people out there who are seeing what is placed online and they’re coming and doing acts of violence against ICE employees,” he added. “It’s just gotta stop. It’s dangerous and people are losing their lives.”

A new poll released on Tuesday shows that Trump’s deportation effort is actually popular with the American people.

Regardless, Democrats have shown no signs of toning down their inflammatory anti-ICE rhetoric.
