Last month, I got a call from the National Republican Congressional Committee. They wanted a donation.
For the first time, I let the volunteer on the other end of the line make her case. When she asked me to donate $100, I said, “I want you to know that normally, I would hang up on these calls because the Republican Party would get nothing done and often squanders its political capital. But this is the first time that I am planning on donating. You are getting sh—t done!”
She almost cried with relief, and she thanked me.
Yes, the Republicans in Washington are finally crossing key demands from the conservative grassroots off their bucket list. Yes, I feel that a donation to the NRCC would be worth my time and money.
And we have President Donald Trump to thank. He has taken over a feckless, pro-corporate, pro-globalist cabal of RINOs and forced them into the MAGA mold. Now, we have Republican politicians competing to out-MAGA each other so they can get elected.
During Trump’s first term in office, I was generally supportive of everything. He defeated Hillary Clinton, he flipped swing states, and he turned the Blue Rust Belt into a Red opportunity for the first time in over thirty years. He cracked down on illegal immigration. He passed the tax cuts and appointed three new Supreme Court Justices. Incredible wins for our side.
But then came COVID, legislative stalling, BLM, and George Floyd, and it looked like Trump lost his way. He didn’t finish the wall.
But Trump 2.0 has exceeded my expectations, demonstrating a clarity of vision and a creativity of governance unlike his first term or that of any president.
He’s not only deploying ICE to arrest illegal aliens with other criminal records. He is going into the most impacted areas and rounding up all illegal aliens. He has created a more robust Department of Justice to go after all kinds of wrongdoing.
I can feel the winning in my own backyard. For the first time, it took me the same amount of time to drive from home to Downey, CA, and back again. Normally, driving home during rush hour would double the trip. The illegals are gone, not showing up to work, and the freeways are free!
Trump has destroyed the corporate media.
He sued CBS and NBC, forcing them to pay huge damages for defaming him. Major BS broadcasters on MSNBC are getting laid off. The demise of “Orange Man Bad” late-night television is a welcome turnaround, too. The newspapers are moving to the right or moving into the trash can.
Planned Parenthood is closing across the country. The Big Beautiful Bill is yielding big beautiful wins for babies, born and preborn. Even in Abortuary California, Planned Murderhood facilities are shuttering due to a lack of funds.
Trump promised and delivered on neutralizing Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
Trump is pushing through for the best trade deals, ending the rip-offs from the bad trade deals.
The most underrated accomplishment of Trump’s second term is the massive overhaul of the American university system. The cultural rot eating our country from the inside originated and metastasized from the universities, addicted to all things woke and determined to waste our hard-earned tax dollars on indoctrinating the next generation of Americans to hate their country, themselves, and life itself.
For decades, the perennial conservative punditry class complained about this Fifth Column of anti-American fury in our higher education institutions. Finally, someone is doing something about it. Pursuing the universities that cater to terrorists, wokesters, and left-wing grifters while terrorizing Jews and white people, Trump and his team are putting some Ivy League universities on the chopping block. He has fined them for violating the civil rights of American citizens. His immigration enforcement orders are getting rid of the third rail of illegal immigration: DACA recipients getting in-state tuition while squatting in our country. How many Chinese foreign national radicals, pro-Palestinian mobs, and other communist covens have emerged from the quiet machinations of illegal foreign nationals in our colleges? By cracking down on communist corruption, Trump is killing two birds with one stone.
He is also tackling the problems in K-12 public education. In addition to removing boys from girls’ sports, Trump is pushing against the corruption of our youth’s minds, heading off the regressive left’s long-term plans.
Trump is not just restoring the country. He is shaping the culture and ensuring a lasting legacy of winning for future Americans.
Even on the LGBT front, President Trump has exceeded expectations. He rejected calls to celebrate so-called “Pride Month” this June. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is turning our wokified armed forces into a lean fighting machine again. Sparing no feelings while sparing expenses, Hegseth is implementing Trump’s broader vision to rid our Armed Forces of transgenderism and DEI-feminism. I especially celebrated his initiative to remove the name of disgraced pederast Harvey Milk from the hull of one of our warships.
Trump has also kicked out the drag queens from the Kennedy Center and our army barracks. He clearly defined and defended the biological fact that there are two sexes, and he issued this declaration on Day One.
Between October to November 2024, I did not know what to expect. I feared half-measures again, and I also worried that Trump had not learned from his first-term mistakes. I gladly stand corrected today. He removed the disloyal elements, surrounded himself with staff and personnel committed to his vision, and wasted no time pushing through his broad, robust domestic and foreign policy agendas to Make America Great Again.
In six months, he has proven himself to be the transformational president who can replace Reagan and help the Republican Party (with its pro-life, pro-liberty, and pro-family policies) regain ascendancy. If he keeps up the pace, he will be the greatest president in my lifetime. Perhaps we could make room on Mount Rushmore for one more!
