NextImg:Sen. Mike Lee: Biden’s Loyal Acolytes Created This Mess

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) has addressed an uncomfortable truth that has become self-evident to all but the most blindly loyal partisans within the Democratic Party–Whomever is calling the day to day shots within the Biden White House, it’s not Joe Biden.

Lee sent a series of tweets earlier today on X, offering insight into why Biden’s inner circle has fought so hard to cover up the president’s deteriorating condition.

Lee goes on to point out that while the presidency is powerful, it’s also a finite thing that lasts 8 years, at best.

He also states that the power of the president is limited by the design of the Constitution and that, as Americans, we should never tie our identity, or that of our country, to any one president.

Lee says that remembering this might help us to approach the presidency with a healthier, less obsessive attitude.

Lee acknowledges that while all presidents rely on an army of presidential personnel to carry out their objectives, the thought of that team operating independently of the president is troubling.

He ends his thread voicing hope that Biden’s performance at last month’s presidential debate can spark a national conversation about what the presidency really is and what it isn’t.

After president Biden’s disastrous debate appearance with former president Trump on June 27th, several prominent House Democrats have suggested that he step aside as the party’s nominee.

But even with Biden’s cognitive decline out in the open, the president has sent a feisty letter to Democrats on Capitol Hill saying he has no intention of leaving the presidential race.

It’s a shame that the public cannot be certain whether this letter was actually written by the man whose signature appears at the bottom of it, or whether it was penned by another lackey desperate to hold on to power.
