A Democrat whistleblower repeatedly alerted the FBI beginning in 2017 that then-Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) was authorizing illegal leaks of classified information to damage President Donald Trump over the now-debunked RussiaGate hoax, according newly released FBI memos.

The whistleblower, a career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee for over 10 years, warned Schiff about the legality of the leaks, but according to Just the News, his concerns were dismissed with assurances they would not get caught.  In 2017, Schiff was the ranking Democrat on the committee.

The whistleblower reportedly told the FBI that he personally attended a meeting where Schiff greenlit a leak.

“When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” according to the documents first obtained by Just The News.

“In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”

“[The whistleblower] stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information,” an FBI memo states.

According to the documents, the officer called the leaks “treasonous,” “illegal,” and unethical. He was reportedly interviewed by the FBI as recently as in 2023.

FBI Director Kash Patel has reportedly turned the bombshell memos over to Congress.

“We found it. We declassified it. Now Congress can see how classified info was leaked to shape political narratives – and decide if our institutions were weaponized against the American people,” Patel posted on X.

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro commented on the leak allegations on conservative podcaster Benny Johnson’s show Tuesday.

“Benny, I think you know that this is my wheelhouse. The difference between me and some others is that I don’t talk about what I’m investigating,” said Pirro, who as the U.S. Attorney for D.C., would be responsible for investigating the alleged leaks. “When I have the evidence and enough to go forward, you will hear from me loud and clear.”

According to Fox News, however,  the alleged leaks fall outside the statute of limitations for prosecution. The damning FBI memos reportedly surfaced amid the current investigations.

The California Democrat earned the nickname “Shifty Schiff” while serving as a member of the House of Representatives from January 2001 to December 2024. Schiff has been a major player in numerous political operations against President Trump, including the Russia hoax, the Ukraine hoax, and the “Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation” hoax.

In 2019, then-House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy signed a Republican resolution to censure Schiff, then the House Intelligence Committee Chairman, for fabricating the presidential phone call between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that spurred the Democrats’ sham impeachment inquiry.

In January 2023, then the House Speaker,  McCarthy took the extraordinary step of kicking Schiff and fellow Russia-hoaxer Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) off the Intelligence Committee. In June of that same year, the House of Representatives again censured Schiff “for misleading the American public and for conduct unbecoming of an elected Member of the House of Representatives.”

More than once, President Trump has withheld classified national security information from Schiff and other Democrat lawmakers over fears they would leak the info to their allies in the corporate media to thwart Trump.

In October 2019, for instance, Trump told reporters that he kept certain Democrats in the dark about the military operation that resulted in the death of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to avoid leaks that could compromise the mission and lead to the death of U.S. troops.

When asked about his decision not to brief Democrat members of the Gang of Eight, Trump answered: “The only thing is they were talking about why didn’t I give the information to Adam Schiff and his committee, and the answer is because I think Adam Schiff is the biggest leaker in Washington. You know that, I know that, we all know that. I’ve watched Adam Schiff leak. He’s a corrupt politician. He’s a leaker like nobody has ever seen before.”

And this June, top Congressional Republicans were reportedly briefed before the U.S. military strikes that decimated Iran’s nuclear facilities, but Democrat members of Congress were left out of the loop, to prevent the plan from leaking.

The Department of Justice has launched a separate investigation into Schiff over allegations of mortgage fraud. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed Ed Martin,  former interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., as a special attorney to look into the matter.

The investigation, which is being conducted by a grand jury in Maryland, is focused on claims that Schiff misrepresented which of his properties was his primary residence to obtain favorable loan terms.

Schiff has denied any wrongdoing in the mortgage fraud matter and his attorney, Preet Bharara, dismissed the allegations as “transparently false, stale, and long debunked.”

Just The News’ John Solomon appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” Monday night to discuss the report.

“This is the first of several major leak investigations we’re going to see over the next several days,” Solomon said. “You’re going to see other major people that were clearly identified by the FBI, having leaked classified secrets.”

“Their own staff turned them in when interviewed by the FBI. Nothing, again, happened,” he added. “It’s a common pattern. The question now is, in Donald Trump’s Justice Department, does that dynamic change?”
